The worst customer and patient feedback service ever. My mom was admitted more than two weeks ago. I have been trying to get an update from any doctor, nurse and/or hospital manager regarding her condition, diagnosis etc. To date I have received one call from a doctor, two weeks ago. Thereafter there was no response to any of my numerous requests for an update or for the doctor to return my calls.

I must mention that the nursing staff in St Francis ward is doing a great job looking after my mom.

This is my only review on Google and I am writing this to warn people of what lies in store for you when you go to this Hospital. Believe me a one star rating is way to generous. We visited this hospital last Sunday. What an absolute unprofessional experience to say the least. My mother was bitten by a poisonous spider and she waited from one in the afternoon till eight at night to be treated. Only one doctor on duty and she was treating patients with minor cuts and bruises while my mothers life was in danger. They had the oddasity to charge us almost R4000 for this totally unprofessional service. There was not even toilet paper in the bathroom. The doctor after realizing how sick my mother really was suddenly wanted to book her into the hospital at R27000 for 3 days which excludes any further treatment and medicine. Take my advice if you are a private patient go to Steve Biko. For R118 three different doctors treated my mother and this included scans and x-rays and medicine. They were all professional and very knowledgeable and the staff treated my mother with such kindness and dearness. Altough my mother had to see 3 different doctors and had to go for scans and x-rays we were done within 5 hours of arrival. Taking in consideration there were lots of other patients we were done in record time in relation to Life Brooklyn Hospital which I consider the worst private hospital in Pretoria. I paid them in full but seriously I want my money back as I feel like I paid for a motor vehicle but only got the steering wheel!!!

Cannot believe how service at this hospital emergency deteriorated
I attended in July 2021 and service was prompt and professional
My daughter went there tonight on my recommendation which I now sincerely regret!!
Only one patient before yet she waited more than a hour IN AN EMERGENCY WARD!!!! To be seen by a doctor? Was told that she will be admitted for tests and more tests tomorrow was told she will be placed on drip for pain 2 hours later blood has not been drawn yet for “rapid tests” dr wanted and drip has not been inserted? After begging for help a nurse reluctantly came to insert drip but could not do it had to call another nurse to show her how to do it ??? How are these people recruited????
NEVER AGAIN WILL I LET ANY FAMILY MEMBER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!

Actually should be called Groenkloof Death.
No noise control. Don’t expect to sleep at all. Nurses shout non stop.
No pain control
No cleanliness. Other patients puke on you u0026 they ignore it.
Avoid the High Care. It’s even worse than a day ward.
In High Care the alarms go off 25 times a night u0026 they are ignored
The sisters do not update their log properly u0026 later use the absence of notes to dispute your complaints.

While lying there in my own puke u0026 urine I heard 4 sisters outside discussing that importing $1000 cellphones from the US was better than buying locally. Yes. That’s the economy they live in.

At 02:00 my neighbour in the same room decided to put his TV on. Nothing was done until I growled.

In all this the food was ok. It’s plain but fine.

I’ll sooner die at home in quiet u0026 care than go there again. ITS A DISGRACE.

The situation demands a comprehensive top down review starting with the Supervisor u0026 matron.

I actually feel like paying some medical malpractice lawyers to investigate these reviews u0026 open an appropriate high court case against the owners.

Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS

Got in a car accident in the late PMs on a Friday, 19 August. The ambulance took us to Life Groenkloof Hospital. I received wonderful services from the nurse but there was this young female doctor who was horrendous. So i had severe back pains. I don’t know what she put in that drip but it was so strong that in the morning i felt 0 pain. I asked her for a doctor’s certificate and she refused, telling me that I am fine, i have no problem whatsoever and should be ready to return to school on the following week. Here I am still in pain and haven’t been to school ever since. I am still looking for that doctor’s name. She was horrible

I cannot speak for all the departments at this hospital, but when it comes to the emergency department it’s an actual joke.

The staff at the emergency department are absolutely unprofessional and beyond rude. My friend was near death and everyone just stood and acted like there was no problem, we had to get our friend in the wheelchair on our own. The Doctors refused to inform us of the medication being given to our friend.

Overall beyond pathetic, do better.

I am absolutely shocked at what I have experienced tonight. My friend was in urgent need of medical help and the lack there of was absolutely appalling. I am referring to the emergency department. We arrived and had to walk in and ask for help, we were not taken seriously and when eventually someone came out to assist, all they did was through backhanded comments at us and judge us. Nobody could help our friend except the very kind security guard. I feel as though that we were not taken seriously , in a very serious situation. Our friend was in desperate need of medical care and I am afraid that they were almost not in time to assist. No matter a person’s age the hospital needs to gear up and be ready for any and all situations that may arise and do so to their best if their abilities.
