Best hospital I have been to by far.
I stayed in high care for a night and ward 11 for 4 nights and the staff are amazing. They are attentive, professional, funny and truly care about their jobs and the patients.
I went in for a long procedure on my spine and the staff made this not just bearable, but as comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend this hospital enough.

I wish I could remember the names of all those who took care of me, but a special mention to Godfrey in Ward 11 (he worked all the night shifts and was one of the best people I have interacted with)
Sharne in ward 11 who, like all the staff, was just amazing. Not just doing a job but actually taking care of us, the patients.
Jeanette in high care who joked with me and made me feel better when I was mentally struggling.

You guys have a great place with exceptional staff

Best Trauma unit ever! The staff is so friendly even on a public holiday, you can really see they love their work place. The nurses and Doctors give health education and they are really helpful and caring. Thank you all so much for taking great care of your patients. Its a cleand environment and a beautiful hospital. I will recommend this hospital anytime, all the time anywhere!

I must commend this hospital on everything! From check in to check out everything was so well handled. The staff were all so amazing. My nurses in high care - cant remember all the names but they were all so wonderful as were the general ward staff, cleaners, ladies bringing food, coffee etc. It really is a special hospital. Thank you for the care.

I rarely ever rate anything a 5/5 but ZAH deserves it. I have gone there with my son who needed a series of surgical procedures since June 2022. The pediatric ward was clean and comfortable even during their partial renovations. All the staff members we encountered from reception to discharge time were very helpful and kind. All staff greet even on the corridors, they are exceptionally friendly.

The patient hand overs from ward to operations room is very good, they will give a proper introduction and update on your condition when they leave you in the care of a different team.

The series of surgeries were also successful. I literally have zero complaints.

I don't have enough words to describe how impressed I am with this hospital. From reception, to the porters to the ward sisters, to the theatre staff to even the kitchen. I was well looked after, everyone had such a great bedside manner. Even just the random smiles and greetings from staff walking past. I felt like an individual the entire time and not just another patient like at most other establishments.

My elderly mother had a hip replacement after a bad fall. We have experience of all the hospitals in Pretoria, but he level of care and commitment we experienced in this hospital was exceptional. The nursing staff in Ward B were attentive, friendly, professional and really caring, and so were the staff in Emergencies. After numerous bad experiences at a number of other hospitals in Pretoria, I can strongly recommend ZAH. I will not go to any other hospital.

It’s an average hospital. Admin staff were okay - nursing staff not good at administering pain meds. Coffee shops pricing is ridiculously high.
