Situated as it is, in one of the most beautiful Botanical Gardens in Gauteng, it is a given that you would sit outside to continue to enjoy the natural beauty with your meal. Service was friendly and relatively quick, with the food being well presented and tasty. There was a little wait for our food, but that's to be expected as everything was freshly prepared and made to order. It's also family friendly with a large play area for the kids while the adults can relax and socialise. A great alternative if you decide not to picnic on the grounds with meals well priced.

Food was delicious. Excellent and friendly service. Restaurant was very busy but we did not have to wait long for our food. This restaurant has definitely become a family favorite

Exceptional service from the restaurant staff! The restaurant itself requires a make over (inside dining area). The food is mediocre and bland. The menu is outdated.With the correct hospitality kitchen team, the food could be exceptional and unique. There is so much potential for such a unique setting in JHB.

We had a lovely meal i think it was called eagles flight which was 2 eggs, bacon and toast. The meal was prepared quite quickly and for the price R60 you didnt feel like they tried to skimp on anything. Service from Patricia was incredible. She is friendly and has such a bubbly personality. We will most definitely return. The one thing i wish i did was take a picture of the 1 ingredient chili sauce (which is delicious) but only ingredient listed is RO water which may be of concern to some, however despite the missing label information it is very tasty.

Food was decent. Waiting times were long but most of all they added a tip automatically without clearing it with me first. The reason given was because we spent more than R400. We were not a big party of people and I find it disrespectful to just add the tip as if it is not my right. I have actually done my own tip before I saw what they did and then removed both tips. And they added an item to the bill that we did not order or receive.

The single star rating is only because the female Manager was very welcoming.

Waiters seen walking around with their mouths stuffed with food.

Menu is very overpriced in relation to quality of food and the taste and presentation.

During our visit the waiter only took the order and delivered the food. No check ups. Nothing.

Their platters are small not worth the value for money. They don't warn you about the home made patties containing ingredients like green peppers, which completely spoils the taste of the patty.

All in all the menu and staff seriously need a complete revamp. The qaulity and service and portions for the price you pay is ridiculous.

Would I recommend it? No, once bitten twice shy.

Rather pack your own picknick basket and serve yourself.

Or do yourself a favour, eat harty at My Little Car Wash at Krugersdorp West, check their pricing and service, and then compare it to this place.

You would immediately understand that a mere simple view, is not worth bankrupting yourself.
