It has an old world charm. Still the original German lady running it. They do great fish.
A pity the kitchen never informed us that there was an ingredient missing from the one dish

Fantastic food. Genuine Swiss/ German cuisine on offer. Maybe a little quiet for some, but if you're party is big enough you can create your own atmosphere here. A different menu from the norm. Service was impeccable. We will definitely put this on our regular list of great restaurants.

I hadn't been to Erwin's for about 15 years, but I remembered it fondly and looked forward to going back with my wife. While it is still a pleasant restaurant with the quiet, cozy vibe that I remembered, we were slightly disappointed with the mains (chicken cordon bleu), the desert (creme caramel), and with the pricing in general, which seemed slightly excessive. That said, the starters (deep fried Camembert with cranberry sauce for my wife, smoked salmon for me) were wonderful, the staff friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was still maturely relaxed enough to make for a nice evening out.

As normal the ambiance and the food is out the top draw. We have been going there for the past 20 years and have never had a dud meal. Well done Erwins always a pleasure to be a customer.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Erwins yesterday. The tables are beautifully set with a crispy white tablecloth, . .....(My husband loves tablecloths on a table) ...a lovely centerpiece with fresh roses and beautiful cutlery with a cloth napkin.
The food was absolutely delicious, a tomato soup starter, at least 6 salads which you dish yourself, lamb on the spit with vegetables, and the most delicious desserts.....eats much as you like. The bread and butter pudding was to die for. Although the restaurant was full, we were able to have great conversation. A really wonderful overall experience.

Great atmosphere and fantastic cuisine! Swiss \ German menu; all dishes offer excellent quality and value for money. If you enjoy eating in fine dining style with table cloths, silver cutlery and relaxed service excellence you will not be disappointed.

Tonight was the second time I have visited Erwins. No doubt Civid has knocked this restaurant into the dust too. Very sad. No more ambience and the food was average. Service mediocre. My first visit in 2019 was remarkable. Tonight was a little disappointing.
