It was a great pleasure to be at the Indaba Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre again after at least 15 years since I was last there. Particularly pleasing was the fact that the owners had managed to maintain the establishment in an excellent state through all the shocks that businesses, particularly.in the hospitality sector, had experienced in the intervening time. While I can imagine the business will have faced some challenges, the Indaba looked like it had come through COVID-19 relatively unscathed. It is still a sprawling venue with a mix of rustic and modern features. I was particularly impressed by the well-kept grounds which give the place a feel of serenity, which is useful when one is there to attend a training intervention, such as I was in my earlier and latest visits. There's nothing like walking on well-maintained lawns while doing an exercise that needs deep thought or contemplation. Indaba is a great training venue. Notwithstanding the rampant load shedding - which was up to stage 6 during the time of my training workshop - the generator ensured that we had power during the blackout. There was an instance when the generator itself failed for some reason, and we did not have power for about 30 minutes, but that was soon restored and we managed to get back on track. The buffet meals also stood out, and although I did not spend the night there, my day visits were enough to leave me knowing that I will be back at the Indaba, if not to stay over, then at least for a meal. A great place well worth a visit!

It is really a surprise how big the area is. You can get a good walk from room to reception. The gardens were well kept and the lake was a nice place to visit. The rooms were comfortable and neat. Some furniture was not easy to use but made do. The TV wasn't as clear and at the time I checked not many channels were available. There isn't much to do on site (tennis and alcohol). The conference venues were really top class and they did a very good job at catering and setting up decor and AV. The transition in and out of loadshedding was a small stumbling block. overall a good experience.

I came for a spa day and stay over. I stayed in room 911. Curtains are stained and dirty. Rubbish outside on the lawn. Empty bottles and plastic outside my room. They hosted a party and people were shouting all night outside my room so I hardly slept. I also could hear their music from my unit. There was what looked like a blood stain near the toilet paper holder. The front breakfast and foyer is so nice but I will never stay here again

Relaxing atmosphere-tranquil and serene but could do with more lighting especially outside at night. Overall clean venue, friendly staff. Spa, restaurants and conference rooms on site. Rooms are neat however some of the bathrooms need an upgrade. Appreciate that all dietary preferences are catered for.

Feels like they working with Covid limited staff. Service delivery is lacking. Staff is very friendly but they seem overwhelmed. Rooms are a bit dated but kept neat and tidy. Just outside of the crazy part of Fourways so in the hotel facility you feel like you away from it all but everything is 5 minutes drive away.

Located in a way that makes you feel as though you've left the city and you're a part of a nature reserve. The staff are helpful and kind. Very well done on the conference set up. Could improve on cleanliness especially the rooms for overnight stay. The Chief's Boma restaurant is really great and the Mowana spa even better. Good experience overall.

I was there from 27-29 July 2022. The room was very stuffy and not entirely clean, water in the bathroom was cold, and the phone was not working. The food was okay, I only enjoyed breakfast. The staff at reception were friendly and professional. They arranged another room with hot running water for me to bath; but I had to go back to my stuffy unclean room. Honestly I couldn't wait to check out. I'm not planning to go there again.
