Located on the cnr of Fredman drive and Gwen Lane inside the 24 Central building this Newscafe is as old as Sandton it’s self. I always says it’s 2 energies , during the day you come for a delicious meal for lunch and at night it turns into a club vibey scene without the entrance charge, Shooter girls walking around ready to fill your tank with a variety of shooters .It’s like the go to spot after dinners around Sandton when you just want to hang , be around a nice energy. The staff is always on point , the place is always clean yet when it becomes Night time the manning of the ladies toilets decreases unlike during the day. The prices of alcohol and food is good value and that kitchen produces some real tasty meals. And ...well ...let’s just say your a single guy looking to have a good night this place has also an “interesting” wide variety of individuals to accommodate the lonely and bored. You just can’t go wrong at this Newscafe . have fun and make friends easily.

After work farewell drinks. I've never been to this branch before. It's got quite a vibe on a Friday afternoon, and the DJ played some great tunes to dance to and chill. I tried the Beef Short Ribs, and some Colleagues had the Lamb Riblets. My beef was softer than their lamb, but I did enjoy the Lamb spicing a bit more.

Drinks were good, and some great specials after 4pm. They definitely made a fab Cosmopolitan ????

If you're looking for a chilled vibe on a Saturday afternoon, this is the place to be. Obviously you can stick around for the action later because News Cafe doesn't disappoint there. ????

The nibbles were good plus you get a very inspiring view of the Leonardo (the tallest building in Sandton) when you hang outside. ????

To this day I have no clue what, if anything this establishment has to do with news.

I have to appreciate that we were not thrown out/ asked to leave, when our behavior deteriorated beyond unorthodox into the realms of boisterous. The atmosphere was lively on a Friday afternoon in accordance with the advertised slogan "is about the vibe". Our waiters were attentive, and the shooters girls came around every 5 minutes to enquire if we would like to buy shots to which we had to repeatedly reply maybe in an hours time. The drinks are not cheap but such is the situation pretty much anywhere in Sandton. From 17:00 - 19:00 they do offer "specials" (not half price across the menu as we discovered is a common misconception).

They were unable to provide Campari and they did not serve carling Black Label beer. We had mojitos for R43 each on special. The mojitos were a pleasant treat on a hot afternoon.

I like the location and the food is consistently good. Nice honey and sesame chicken salad as a quick lunch goto dish. Both inside and outside seating available. Six months down the line and back again. Good service and good location. Have both inside and outside tables.

Went around lunch time and the atmosphere was quite chilled. Customer service was great and I enjoyed my meal, I tried something slightly different from the usual ribs or wings. I had an open chicken and avo sandwich served on pita bread* with their divine stir fry. The virgin strawberry daiquiri was so good, one of the best I've had.

Next time you're that side, take a turn and I hope you enjoy it like I did.

Good place to have a night out with friends. DJ played house music that had you dancing in your seat even while eating your meal, while others freely got out of their seats to dance with their companions. Fun place to be if you happen to be in these parts #josi#
