My friend and I visited Mangwanani for a full spa day experience. All the treatments were delightful and relaxing. The ladies performing the therapies are well trained, and I enjoyed all the sessions—great massages, facials, scrubs, etc. There wasn't a single treatment I didn't thoroughly enjoy!
Breakfast was fresh fruit, yoghurt with muesli, a delicious muffin, and a bread roll served with butter on the side. There were options of water, coffee, tea, and juices. (I almost think they offered Sparkling wine too.)
At lunch, they served delicious Butter Chicken with rice. I enjoyed the meal, and afterwards, they offered dessert - options of Malva Pudding with custard, Cheesecake (delicious, I tried some) or Carrot cake (also delicious, I dried some). There were water, juices, Coke, Appletiser, coffee, and tea options.
Unfortunately, Mangwanani doesn't have a "spa feel" to it. The noise levels were too high, and relaxing spa music was only heard a few times during the day. It feels like the establishment lacks proper management. The therapists seemed unorganised, and I missed the refinement and calmness of what I'd expect from a spa. The gowns and bedding looked worn and unkempt, and the building could do with some maintenance.
However - it is excellent value for money when buying special packages. You get lovely treatments, breakfast, lunch and drinks.
If you're looking for an affordable spa day out, definitely consider Mangwanani, but also keep your expectations to "affordable spa day out".
