As a follow up of the review about my buying a what I took to be a garden unit, the developers have really bent over backwards and have come up with a great solution - and at no extra cost to me. So I am very happy. The Nooitgedacht Village is coming on beautifully and is fast becoming as attractive as the marketing material promises: a village and a totally different development with real style, unusual features, lots of trees and many water features. And lots of space around for walks, cycling and running through the vinyards and fruit orchards.

I really look forward to living there.

Sadly, this is not a great place to live. In my 3-bedroom house, there's space for only 1 car in the garage, u0026 residents may not park in the road outside our own houses - when I did I was clamped for R1000! Even worse, we are supposed to park in a gravel parking lot, quite far from the houses, which means my car is always filthy u0026 dusty. No wonder the place is a ghost-town, I've lived there 2 months and have seen about 10 people! The 2 stars Nooitgedacht gets are: 1 for the security, and 1 for the tech/geeks.

A fried of mine excitedly bought a small Ground Floor apartment in the village.
Somewhere she could relax, walk out of her lounge onto a small garden and take her dog for a walk.
Imagine her surprise when, on visiting the site her apartment was not at ground level but perched up in the air above the underground parking with no access from the apartment to the gardens. This despite the fact that access had been discussed and confirmed by the sales team and the Apartment was listed as GF... (Ground Floor )
Bitterly disappointed and frustrated she is now asking for a solution as she believes she has been defrauded and she waits for the developers to come up with a solution.

Is this another unscrupulous developer taking advantage of single middle aged women who may not have insisted on the correct documentation and plan and elevations as part of the sales document ??
Buyer Beware there are lots of charlatans about and I hope this one comes with a satisfactory solution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fell in love with Nooitgedacht a year ago. I'm determined to buy there. Have a SU student from Jan 2020, so need 2 bedrooms, mountain views u0026 good Feng Shui. Looking for shared ownership. Any investors with a similar idea who can make my dream come true of living there?

Dirty, dusty, place - all day we hear workmen u0026 building machinery making noise. Our brand new house has a courtyard that has to be vacuumed every week because of the ridiculous number of large button spiders, and the railway crossing is not safe u0026 has no security surveillance. I was attacked in my car there recently. Fortunately I have shatterproof glass windows.

Its a lovely estate and the views are incredible. You feel safe and secure and there’s plenty to do. Moving from Jhb it feels like a small piece of heaven.
