This place has been engraved in my youth. Ever since I have been a foolish and wide eyed student this place has held nothing but promise for me.

Be it to watch the premier league or a intentional rugby game, this has always been the place to be. They stock all sorts of beers, ales, lagers, pilsners, IPA's and even the odd stout or 10.

By all means, if you are a visitor to Stellenbosch, this is the place to visit. Be sure to have a local craft beer what visiting, they have one of the best selections in town.

Always a favourite. Food is amazing. Drinks are amazing. Never a dull moment at Happy Oak. Best place for any sport and the SPECIALS are ridiculous!!! Whether you go solo or in a group you are guaranteed an amazing time. I've been visiting this place since 2014 and not once have I ever had or heard of anyone having a complaint ????????????
Try it. You won't regret it ????????????

Great vibe and just a fun hangout. Good drink prices and variety. Food isn't too great, would not recommend the jalapeño poppers. All round just a lovely place for drinks, but rather eat somewhere else.

Great place to chill with friends and have a beer. They serve Devil's peak on tap, which is a big plus. Though the main negative is that it takes literally forever to be served at the bottom or top bar, even when there is almost no other people. The employees also do not know how to pour beer and you have to wait for the foam to settle. So, overall great place, they just need to work on their customer service.

Great old English style pub with an outside courtyard ideal for students and working class adults alike. The atmosphere is happy, there are always drink specials and great music too. Noteworthy sport is always shown here too.

Has a great vibe, safe and pretty fun. Great food and most importantly there's a projector upstairs where you can watch sports. There are also TV screens everywhere so if you are looking for the best place to watch your Rugby or Soccer with other sports enthusiasts look no further.

A great spot for students and the new Beer Appreciation Society upstairs is awesome with a wide range of craft beers.
Good specials are often offered and it is always a good time spent there.
I only miss the old name of the place.
