We had a great time staying at Van der Stel Manor. The guest house is located in a lovely neighborhood. We were welcomed with delicious cupcakes for Valentines Day! Our room was beautiful with direct access to the pool. Ilzebet and the rest of the team were very warm and accommodating.Also, breakfast is amazing!!! We highly recommend this place if you visit Stellenbosch!

Outstanding place, people, breakfast rooms and service.

1 night here is way too less. Also for Stellenbosch 1 night is not enough to enjoy. As soon you visited the Manor you would know why. We stayed here for 3 nights.

Proud was one of the nicest people we met in our 3 weeks holiday. Nicest is an understatement. He's very very kind.

Ilsebeth is very kind. A classy person. We would definitely run our place like she does. Very very very nice scones, muffins. She also was interested in her guests. We had a 'homecoming' feeling at her place with Proud.

The rooms were very nice, fast Internet and were super clean. The bed was big. The gardens were very well maintained.

We definitely loved our stay, would recommend this to everyone. As mentioned before, we also recommend staying here multiple nights. Not 1 night like many tours do. You'll definitely miss out.

The area feels really safe. You also see a lot of people running in the morning and evening. We haven't seen this anywhere in SA. This told us this area is very safe.

We went to Babel, must visit! Lovely garden.

I had the most amazing stay! The breakfast is hearty and delicious.
Thanks to Ilzebet and her friends I had a great experience exploring several great places in Stellenbosch and got to learn more about its history.
Proud and Denise were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Thank you all for a wonderful birthday weekend!

The best ! Exceed ones expectations. Breakfast outside with freshly made scones served by fabulous Elizabeth and Proud . Staff professional friendly go out of their way to assist you. Was a relaxing 3 day stay , hope to visit again.

Amazing manor with incredibly attentive and kind staff (Proud is the best!!!). Amazing views of the sunset from the rooftop, breakfast is delicious, rooms are spotless and the whole manor transmits a feeling of peace and quiet. I’ll come back 100%.

What a great stay at Van der Stel Manor, it feels like home. Ilzebet and her team warmly welcomed us and it felt like we were visiting family!!The rooms and the property is perfect and very well looked after!Bedding is top class and everything is very clean!The fireplace set a warm atmosphere.
Breakfast was the best, it started of with bakery quality scones (I’ll be back for that) and then a wide variety to choose from! I’ll recommend Van der Stel Manor to everyone!!Thank you for making our stay so special, we will be back!!

Lovely place. Very friendly employees ans house owner. Had a good time there. The included breakfast was phänomenal. Starter - Main - Dessert. All in all good experience and recommendation for people that love the mix of a vintage guesthouse and modern apartments to sleep in.
