We chose Weltevreden as our wedding venue which was one of the best decisions we made. The service was excellent and the friendly staff went out of their way to assist and accommodate us. This is all due to the Estate's manager, Libby Adam's, who walked the path with us from day one. Libby was always there to assist and guide us. Libby's calm nature kept our nerves under control.

We are looking forward to our next visit for some wine u0026 pizza.

A great place for a family outing over the weekend! They have a very big and exciting play area for children. We ordered pizzas and the service was fast and the food was delicious! Can highly recommend them.

Wow wow wow my room was amazing... I stayed in the River Cottage Lodge ❤️???? could not ask for a better time alone the massive bath was sooo nice and relaxing... Its a Yes from me????????

We drove 34 kms one way from the southern suburbs of Cape town to the restaurant of this estate, Jonkershuis because we were accompanied by two toddlers! This was on Monday the 8th of August 2023.
The food was a painful experience, not fresh and had no taste whatsoever. All the food items that was served to us ( starters, main and dessert) were horrible.
Out of fairness, their waiters were friendly and the premises itself was nice. However, I wont go there again! I left very ???? angry.

Had a disappointing breakfast there this morning. A very dry Omelette. I did bring this to the waiter's attention but there was no sign of the Manager. Used to be a favourite spot but I will not return.

Beautiful setting with breathtaking views...perfect spot on a hot summers day and the Carnival playpark is a great hit with the kids...really appreciate this place...

Wonderful , historic estate , good food and wine.Stayed one night and accomodation was comfortable and clean with a hearty breakfast
