Perfect ! Food, drinks, ambience, service, everything was perfect. A very memorable fine dining experience.

I devoured every morsel of every dish I ordered.
The flavours and textures were a sensation for the tastebuds.

The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation is meticulous.

The service was exceptional, our waiter was perfect with her timing and was able to explain items on the menu that I couldn’t fully understand.

I was extremely pleased at the cleanliness of the toilets. It’s something that restaurants can never seem to pay attention to but can greatly affect the overall experience of the establishment. Well done management and staff for getting this right.

I can easily recommend The Chefs Table. It’s live up to its reputation and reviews. I will definitely be back on another special occasion.

Thanks to my dear cuz Ray and his gorgeous wife for choosing The Chef's Table to celebrate his milestone birthday. An awesome selection of starters, mains and dessert. Every meal was plated to perfection and I savored and devoured them. It was absolutely delicious and tantalizing. Classy, elegant and palatable fine dining. Definitely going back for more????

Located upstairs along the famous Chartwell strip, The Chef’s Table is an exquisite establishment specialising in seafood and various meats.

Went there for lunch over the weekend and easily found a great table outside, without making any booking. Left towards supper time and it would appear that people generally make bookings for supper.

There’s an exposed kitchen if you’re interested in seeing the chef prepare your meal before your very eyes. It adds a unique touch to the establishment.

The food menu isn’t the most diverse as they have about 1 meal per meat option, eg: one chicken dish, one lamb dish, etc; however, there are more seafood options on offer. Ordered the seafood platter (for one), yet this wasn’t even displayed on the menu.

Some of the staff members appear to be getting training. Fortunately, for most of our meal, we were served by two of the more experienced staff members, who ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our stay.

There’s a private room that can be booked for events. It seats 10-14 patrons comfortably. While there is no booking fee required, there is a minimum-spend amount of between R4500-R5000 for the room / bill.

The ablutions are clean and well-stocked.

Overall, for a more intimate and exclusive vibe within Umhlanga Rocks, this establishment is an absolute winner!

An absolute phenomenal experience. The food was packed with flavour and presented like something that came out of the masterchef kitchen. The staff was well dressed, well spoken and very professional. I recommend chefs table to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

It’s a gastronomical experience as usual. Perfectly selected food served like artwork by staff that are friendly and well versed in the language of The Chefs’ Table. Thank you Andy for elevating our experience. The duck done two ways was the highlight of my experience. Can’t wait come back.

I don't often enjoy fine dining, however my experience at Chefs Table has definitely created a monster. The restaurant is elegant. The starters, main, and desserts were perfect. I would highly recommend the Karoo lamb as a main- the flavors complemented each other perfectly.

The menu is fairly small, but also has something for everyone, lamb, chicken, pork, beef, seafood, venison and vegetarian options. This doesn't make it difficult for those who don't eat certain types of meats.

It was pricey, but well worth it since the attention to detail and quality was apparent. The service is impeccable as well. You don't have to wait too long for your food which can be a buzzkill.

I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or if you're craving a fine dining experience.
