Truworths Fashion The service and return policy of Truworths is dismal. A policy that makes no sense. A policy so greedy in making money that it will do so in violation of regulations and acts in place to protect the consumer.
When returning gifts to Truworths, after embarrassingly having to ask the giftee for the receipt - Truworths accessed the 3rd parties account with no written consent, no ID documentation and disclosed to me the clients account details; their outstanding balance; their account limit. This in the time or POPIA.
During the process, not only did they disclose all this private information, they also accidently billed the account again without the account holder being present.
If no gift cards, refunds or exchanges will be done by Truworths. Then make it clear! Then 3rd parties will have to in future return the goods themselves.
Let's not even get started on the manager Goldfields Mall Truworths - who too is the compliance officer. No idea what POPIA is, nor understands COVID protocols and guidelines.
