Tried the dining in the dark experience tonight... It was good fun!
Starter was a little disappointing but the main and dessert were yummy!
Thanks to the host Pedro for keeping us entertained ????

Friendly, efficient service. The atmosphere was peaceful, wonderful and the entire place was clean, neat and homey. The tables were dressed well and the staff were on the ball and the fact that they offered a Christmas lunch, with staff working, was a home away from home. A job well done from the management, kitchen team and the waiters and waitresses.

On a chiily autumn morning all of 5°C, the fireplace was a welcoming site. The milo was piping hot and the staff were super friendly and service was prompt but not in your face.

I ordered the Irish Rosti Benedict and was looking forward to it. I took one bite and had to call the waitress over. I thought they had mad a mistake and served me curry mustard sauce instead of hollandaise. If you are going to serve a hollandaise that tastes nothing like hollandaise, please don't call it that. Or warn people it has a twist. The Rosti was very thin and the avo mashed on top.

They kindly offered to make me something else. And the manageress was very apologetic. I stuck to a bacon and eggs breakslfast thinking we can't go wrong. I asked for eggs Med to hard(but what every you do... No runny eggs) Low and behold my eggs were runny!
.

My friend was super accomadating eating exceptionally slowly. Her food must have been so cold by the time mine arrived.

Lovely setting, great service, tasty food when they get it right.

Awesome lunch! The best toasted chicken mayo in Benoni by far. The staff our friendly and helpful and there is a gorgeous selection of art for sale inside the venue as well. Fresh carrot cake and frothy cappuccinos. Great place for meetings or catching up with friends. We will be back weekly!

Mother's day! What a disappointment! Obviously under new management.Nothing like it used to be under the old management. Not even a flower on the table or anything special for mothers. The buffet was so disappointing and most of the food trays were empty. We had to ask for food that was suppose to be in the dishes. The service from the waitress was terrible. We had to fetch salt and pepper ourselves from other tables. Absolutely no special atmosphere. Not even a welcome, thank you or goodbye. I was so embarrassed in front of my mother and mother-in-law. It's not every year that I have the opportunity to treat them both on Mothers day.

Not even worth a one star! Was one of the worst experience I have ever had. It took about 4 days just to confirm a booking and order a cake for the day, because apparently they were so busy. Paid for the cake before and another R350 to have a waiter specially assigned to our table. When we arrive it was dead quite. The coffee we ordered was cold and took forever to arrive, the so called waiter I specially paid for was also helping another table and never came round to check up or ask if we wanted more drinks. The food took over an hour to arrive, it was cold and inedible and looked completely unappetizing. I complained to the manager who was apologetic but, after that, nothing changed. The cake I ordered was the biggest disaster, and and we couldn’t even cut it because it was covered in thick baking chocolate and had collapsed in the middle. When we eventually cut the cake, it was terrible inside and we ended up not even eating it because of the terrible quality and how unappetizing it was. It was a complete disaster, and it ruined the entire birthday event I had planned. It was one of the worst experience ever! Never ever again.

This is such a hiddem gem! I am unfamiliar with the area, and I feel só lucky to have found it. A tranquil place amidst the chaos of Benoni, with a lush garden, amazing staff and the best Welsh Rarebit I've had. There is also a beautiful shop with trinkets, custom clothing and the most divine pastries, perfectly packaged. Thank you for the pink geranium????
We will definitely visit again!
