The hotel rooms are in need of a serious upgrade. The carpets are dirty. There are no 2pin plugs for charging electronic devices. The appliances are dated. The Aircon takes 15 minutes to start up. I had a late check in and I had to arrange for bags to be taken up by myself. The vending machine requires exact change. My stay was unfortunately nothing short of disaster and disappointment.

My Deaf learner's phone was stolen in my room while she left it in the charger at the time we went to play the national finals. We went to the games as we were hosted there during our winter national games. The cleaning ladies who cleaned my room 249 during the 11 - 16 July 2022, said they didn't see a phone when I surely was the last person leaving my room and made sure the phone was still there in the charger. When I came back and lodged a complaint, I was told that I must report to the police and my learners are the ones who stole the phone (at what time when I was with them at Benoni Northern grounds). Never leave your gudgets un attended at the Lake hotel and don't trust their cleaners. When I tried to seek for help I was told that it's not like some learners did not break a glass door at the hotel. So my learner's phone that was stolen was made as a justification why it is fine that it happened that her phone disappeared. The fact that there is no clouse and policy in place that protect the client against such negligence that could possibly occur, it is very alarming.

The rooms were spacious with outstanding interior. The staff was friendly at all times u0026very helpful.

Great place, everything is clean and the staff is amazing. But they could use a bit of an upgrade on their appliances, the radio wouldn't t play any stations and the TV had a piercing sound when the volume is turnt up. But everything else was good.

Had a wonderful time. Very clean sheets and pillow slips. The staff were friendly and professional.
The conference facilities were cleaned every day and the staff were very helpful with the electronic equipment.
The views of the river are amazing from the dining area and the front section of the hotel.
The security of the complex is top notch.
The food was well prepared and tasty.
On the whole a good stay.
On the down side., the place needs a revamp.
The following needs urgent attention:
The carpets in the rooms needs to be deep cleaned or replaced.
The curtains need to urgently be replaced.
In the bathrooms the shower heads need replacing.
Other that those problems I had a good stay.
Good luck on your revamp.
I would stay again, anytime.

Food not so nice. Please clean the carpets at the stair case going up the conference centre.
Other matters were on point.
