I have nothing but good things to say about our stay. The staff are friendly, go the extra mile. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I would definitely recommend Die Rusplek Guesthouse and will definitely be going back.

The service is good, rooms clean, pity we were allocated to the upper room. The place is situated very close to the university students residents which makes it unbearable to staying peace. Especially the weekends, they are in control of the area.

Exactly what the name implies.
At Die Rusplek you can certainly find rest after a long day's work in the Bloemfontein sun.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with all your needs met.
The outside area is open and well maintained, featuring interresting flora and adequate seating.
The swimming pool was a treat after a scorching day.

Above all else, every member of staff I met was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Next time I find myself in the area for work or pleasure, I will certainly visit again.

We had to find somewhere late evening to stay the night, because of unplanned emergency events traveling with our cat. The staff were very understanding and accommodating, and we cherished every moment of our time there! Also very well priced! Thank you guys xx

I made a booking with reception whilst driving from Gariep dam, where every place was full. I requested a room with 2 single beds. When we got there in the rain the same woman I spoke to over the phone had no recollection of our conversation. We had to wait for her to check us in. They wanted all our info except blood type which no other guest house on our 2 week roadtrip required. We got to our room and it was a very small double bed. It was full of lumps and squeeking. The pillows were flat. They advertise that they have dstv, but they only had open view. We dont know bloemfontein, it was pouring with rain and we were tired. So we spent the night there. The bathroom was a psychedelic nightmare. A fake marble in beige. Full of cracks. The taps were single hot and cold. Not mixed. The cold tap in the bathroom basin could not open. The hot water tap was boiling hot. We had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink. We did not bath in the evening because the bathroom was so depressing. We were supplied with one roll of toilet paper, and the paper was in one of those 3 stacked stainless steel containers found in public toilets at garages. They have a board outside that advertise the rooms for 250 per person. We paid 650. Maybe if they charged us 400, which is more the worth of the place I would have been less disgusted. The bath also leaked water through all the cracks which i had to try and dry up in the morning. When you are tired from the drive and you end up in a place like Rusplek, after not resting you are more exhausted the following day. The nearest place we were told where we could find food was also a 15 min drive away. We went to bed with our rusks and cofee from the trip. Rather look elsewhere to overnight. Not a nice place. Should not even be a one star and definately not the advertised 3 stars. After having stayed in 6 establishments on our 2 week road trip from Pta to the Cape and back this is the first place that prompted me to write a review. Staff also not very friendly or helpfull. My husband could not reconnect to the internet the next morning, due to his ipad giving him an alert that there is a hacking attempt. The person on duty said I must bring the laptop to reception so that he can assist. He could not leave his post. Unacceptable. All in all a very bad experience.

The receptionist was not welcoming. My room was given to someone else and I was given a room that was not prepared for guests. The room had spiderwebs everywhere. The bed is very uncomfortable. The place needs a lot of improvement.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Kleen rooms with every you need. Orefile Pula is exelent in her job and so helpfull.
