Ive been a long time guest at Solo Gracia, and with it being under new ownership/management its now truly a "home away from home".
Neilia is the perfect host, all amenities are operational again and a full revamp is underway.. ...... keep up the good work.

I had a disappointing stay at Solo Gracia. The pictures on the website are deceiving. The amenities are poorly maintained and quite rough around the edges. I saw litter (empty beer bottles u0026 empty takeaway boxes) in the backyard/smoking area. While the room was functional, I did have quite a number of issues that made my stay unpleasant. My aircon was an older model and it just refused to get warmer (Bloemfontein was experiencing a low of 3 degrees so it was freezing cold). The shower did not drain and I had to shower in a pool of dirty water up to my ankles. I asked to get this looked at but nothing changed. The customer service was below average and we really weren't made to feel welcome. Solo Gracia seems to be a struggling establishment but the thing that really irked me was the lack of cleanliness. Outside of the litter, I also saw 2 cockroaches in my bathroom and a cockroach walking across a counter in the open-plan kitchen (close to the breakfast/dining area). I also noticed some black mold in my room. I just don't think anybody should be giving this place their money.

It's only been under new management for a week but you can already see and feel the difference in atmosphere. Was a good stay.

I wish there was 10 star rating because I'm still amazed from how my stay was. The experience was out of this world, the pictures don't do justice to how the place actually looks, big, clean and spacious rooms with hot water always available. The service and level communication are few of the things to make me come back there again. The staff was so friendly especially the guy by the reception, he went out of his way for us. He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. THANK YOU SOLO GRACIA, KEEP IT UP. See you next time, for the 3rd time : )

Literally the best guesthouse my partner and I have ever been.The room was so neat and spacious and as private as we wanted.The guy at the reception was literally the best,he made it his mission to make us feel at home.The breakfast was perfect and on time all the time.Everybody there is not invasive yet approachable.
We are definitely coming back.

My colleague and I stayed for about a week. The rooms we were allocated were dirty- curtains were dirty, there was mold on the doors and walls of the room. The room itself didn't lock properly and we had to struggle.
There was so shower gel and when we inquired why, we were simply told "It's finished". But they knew we were checking in two weeks in advance. The shampoo provided smelled like Bob Martin dog shampoo. There was no handwash in the bathroom.
The rooms are incredibly cold in winter- no heater or electric blanket provided. The air from the AC doesn't circulate throughout the room since it's quite big. Staff at the hotel were mostly friendly, but staff at the on-site restaurant were standoffish and unwelcoming- this included the two women who own the restaurant. There was no attempt made to make us feel at ease , let alone a simple greeting.
Would absolutely not recommend.

The host Lerato was really nice but the stay was mid.
1. The bathroom door was sliding piece of cardboard
2. No complimentary shower gel and shampoo
3. The breakfast was just not good
4. The rooms were not well prepared
5. The premises had only one worker doing various jobs at the same time I.e caretaker, chef, receptionist, manager, cleaner... Which is also unfair for this particular worker
