I was in the area and looking for something to eat... Found this hidden gem by the filling station. Asked for their recommendation and got Chicken Boti Masala, what an absolutely delicious dish. Just loved it! Had this good indian food after a long while. Thank you!

The food at Al Mehran has always been of great quality and taste in my 4 year's of ordering from them. My preferred dish has been the Mutton Curry, and my recommendation is on the bone meat. The best Mutton Curry in Boksburg in my opinion.

28.07 2018 I have been craving curries and / or a Bunny for a while and i just havent been to my usual go to spots. I have been trying to taste more foods from our local eateries, and noticed AlMehran sold bunnies. I ordered a Half Mutton Bunny, Chicken Breyani, AlMehran Special fried rice, Mutton curry and 2 Garlic Naans.

The restaurant is quite spacious inside, and the staff were friendly on arrival as i ordered takeaways. My food was ready on arrival which was a plus. My bunny wasnt bad in flavour and the curry was still hot, but for the price there should have been more meat inside as its deceiving in half load bread. The Chicken Breyani wasn't bad just needed more spice. The Special fried rice was suppose to be Chicken / Beef and Prawns, of which it was sparingly inbetween the rice and for the price. The Mutton curry itself was loaded with oil and again, not much meat in the container. Their Garlic naan was really good. So its a hit and miss for all 4 dishes.

I ordered a mutton dhal gosht dish and literally got 2 pieces of mutton, some fat and a bunch of bones to add. The food is extremely oily and to be fair... The only thing which was cool was this dumpy coke ...the toilets are not pleasing either. I would definitely not go back... But good luck to all the peeps who like the unhealthy vibe this place gives off.

Bought chicken karahi gosht for 120 only to find out that the rice for the curry is optional .

Very disappointed in the food, firstly the meat is so tough in the Mutton Curry, the Butter Chicken Curry tasted like butter, no spices nothing, then we had to pay R25.00 extra per portion of rice which doesnt do justice.
will never eat there again, very upset with how much money you pay
