It was a sombre epoch. A sobering period and moment in life and all our lives as SAfricans and the world. I thank God for the opportunity of paying my last respects to The Arch, Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu, with young and older members of my family. One of our greatest memories that we create.

The park is great. Saw tons of squirrels and Egyptian geese. Interesting historical landmarks such as Cecil John Rhodes statue and of course the Arch and St George's Cathedral. A great pity that there are so many vagrants and hobo's lurking around. Surely these people can be removed by the police. Felt very uncomfortable. The cathedral was interesting and access was easy. Just a pity that there were no tourist guides to give a bit of the history of the area. Nevertheless it was fairly pleasant.

Beautiful serene place. Beautiful and well planned and tended gardens. Great library right behind it. Free wifi at the arch for arch. The arch itself is the main entrance to a walkway with few pretty traders plying their goods. It is surrounded by a series of written notes as a reminder of what and who South Africa is. A museum of some sort next to the arch. Stature of the Cecil Rhodes in the library garden

An architectural structure paying tribute to one of our country's political icons, Archbishop Desmond Tutu. It consists of 14 pieces of wood shaped in a arch form and commissioned by the design Indaba. The installation was completed and launced on 7 October 2017. #archforarch

Such a beautiful structure, built in honor of a South African icon. And it leads the way to the Company Gardens, which is also a favorite place to visit.
