Great place to work — despite them not caring too much about cleaning up and Covid mask wearing. The food is solid. But the avo on (gluten free) toast is a joke. It should be called a tapas portion.

Contemporary café food and serving Terbodore coffee.
Follow the sign board on the sidewalk which leads you to a secluded courtyard where the café is situated.
A peaceful setting in the heart of the city.

Stunning Delicious Food, Awesome service and quick, we had the Bacon avo on toast with poached eggs. Nom Nom Nom - highly recommended.

Good food, decent coffee, great place for a meeting... But staff needs to keep their masks covering nose and mouth please...????

This place has amazing people with even better food. Definitely the best coffee in Cape Town with a variety of different flavors and blends. It is also awesome for meetings or to just have some breakfast and lunch. Big Dog Cafe is a must visit location.

These guys really are the Big Dogs from my experience. Super friendly vibe with very comfortable seating makes it a pleasure to spend time there enjoying a coffee, or three. Let's be honest though, its Cape Town and there are many places to enjoy good coffee. So why did I like this place so much that I even came to write a review....Well there two things actually now that I think of it. Main reason for me was Food, its not Ok, its not average, its amazingly good and I could taste and see that they are incredibly concious of using good quality ingredients in their dishes. The second thing for me was the staff were very approachable. I wanted to know what sorcery was used in the making of my delicious dish, so they kindly came out and in detail explained the cooking method and ingredients used. Food is life people!!! So if you want to be in an environment where the food being made is more of a passion for them and not a process...well then this is for you.
