I popped in here on a Thursday for their lunch special. I had the chicken schnitzels for R89.99. I must say that I could've ordered something a little more value for money than this. Their food is mediocre. Absolutely nothing to write home about. Average flavours average setting. Really nothing special. I also waited 15 minutes just for the waiter to come take our drinks order. My friend had the calamari special and the portion was quite big, which is just about the only positive feedback I can think of.

The food and service was really devine!! We opted for the Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the meal. Just a note to manager - We were thinking about turning around after seeing the bad outside appearance from the side of the building. Really neglected on the ground floor (other place) We found cattle baron with "google maps" and landed on the side with parking area. But glad we continoued. Maybe something can be done about that?

Whether you find your way there for a fun evening with family or friends, or a romantic dinner for two, it's really worth a visit! Although the restaurant has been around for a while, we've only rediscovered it recently. We weren't particularly impressed with the food before, but we are now! They have a nice selection of wines, though some are a bit pricey, and you'll enjoy some great steaks, super-friendly service and I, for one, simply love the interior. It's classy and stylish, and suits the dinner atmosphere perfectly! We'll certainly be back.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch at the Cattle Baron. The service was very good, friendly atmosphere. The steak was medium rare, nice vegetables and golden chips. The bread crusty and fresh..ample portions. We certainly did not leave hungry. Nice dessert menu.

Great service, fish and steak all very well prepared and good value. Atmosphere not busy and very clean . Rice was a bit cool and orange sauce on escargots and steak didn't work, tended to congeal. Overall average experience brought up by really good service.

We have just had an excellent meal at the Cattle Baron Somerset West. The food and service was excellent and we were very well looked after. Three of us had steak and my wife had the sea food combo. We will be going back again, great all round.
