I surprised my husband with a 1 night stay for his birthday. I bought the deal on * Wikideals which included a 3 course meal and breakfast. The check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly. I especially looked forward to the dinner but was greatly disappointed by the quality and taste of the food. Our starter was delicious!! The mains (oxtail and Tomahawk steak) was tasteless and below average. The dessert (pancakes with berries and chocolate fondant cake) was dry and chewy, we didn't eat it. Fountains hotel please improve the quality of your food and not just focus on quantity. Overall we had a very nice stay but I cannot forget the poor standard of our dinner, which was supposed to be special.

Went for a 1 night stay for my Husband's birthday and although I was a bit nervous because of some of the reviews I had read before going, we had the most amazing experience. From the check in to the cleanliness to the restaurant to the check out all the staff members that we encountered were delightful, welcoming and eager to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to all fountains hotel staff members for making our stay so pleasant.

Excellent????????I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Fountains Hotel????convenient location. Showers instead of bathtubs would be more convenient, especially for shared rooms. Bathtubs should be extras, not our only option. Other than that, everything was good!????

We celebrated our Anniversary with a 1 night stay in Room 903, what an amazing experience. From the moment we checked in, we were on cloud 9. We got welcoming drinks on our way to the room. The room was amazing with the most amazing view of the fountain and city. In the evening the lights of the city is so dreamy. We stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment room with a very romantic turndown. The cheese platter and champagne was a great treat. Dinner and breakfast buffet was any foodies dream. I would definitely recommend the Fountains Hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Service is great and the hotel is very clean and stylish. The Hotel is very close to the Vu0026A waterfront which is very convenient and next to a Discem. They also have an amazing Mimosa special and they have a great selection of wine that is affordable.

Thank you again to the manager and staff of the Fountains Hotel for one incredible weekend experience.

Restaurant staff as well as hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, also very willing to fulfill requests. Rooms were attractive, comfortable and clean. It was cleaned and tidied daily. Overall a recommended experience.

Checking in was fairly simple. Went to the desk and was helped with check-in and all necessary information was explained to me.

I had to find my room myself which was also fairly simple considering the size of the hotel and numerous floors.

The actual room was ok. It wasn't entirely clean, as it had some stains on the carpet. The tea set that was provided was filthy, as if it hadn't been cleaned from the previous people. The bathroom was standard but there was no shower curtain on the rail. After calling reception, one was brought up and I had to install it myself.

Each day I had to call for towels since the room was never cleaned or new towels being brought in. Sometimes after calling, no towels would arrive for a few hours or until I called again.

The plug points to charge my devices were either broken or very loose meaning the charge would often stop.

Breakfast was below average, ended up ordering food instead. When trying to have dessert one evening, I ordered a chocolate fondant. The waitress brought me a brownie which was hard as a rock with ice cream. After complaining, the "chef" came out and apologised saying that there was no chocolate fondant but instead of letting me know, thought it would be better to give me something. Seems more like incompetence if you ask me.

Overall, this hotel is terrible. I've stayed in 2 star hotels that were substantially better than this. There is no way I would consider this a 4 star hotel.
