We liked this Spur and our waitress was fantastic. They had no problem taking back the nachos and heating it up when I mentioned that it was cold inside. The food was good and we especially loved the wristband they gave put on our 3 year old. It noted not only her name, but our table number, names and numbers.

Steak was not as juicy as its price!

After this was served as a medium sirloin, I was told they could give me a proper medium steak in 10-15 min while the others at the table are already eating, which we didn't want as our plan was to eat together. I suggested a refund/discount but that was not possible according to the staff. So I was forced to eat a well done steak.

While eating my steak, I had to discuss the issue with a total of 3 staff members in a row showing up at our table one after another which deprived us of the last bit of enjoyment. 10 minutes after I decided to deal with the well done steak and we finally started eating, the 10-15 min to prepare a new steak suddenly turned into a few minutes as the third staff member came to the table and corrected what the previous staff member said, but by then it was already way too late.

Service was rather poor, cutlery was just thrown on the table, reservation of table hadn't been taken in properly, we had to get up ourselves for everything...

All friendly and stuff, but this was more of a headache than a relaxed lunch with friends, which is disappointing considering the juicy price of R169 for only one steak.

Unfortunately never again.

A regular Spur. Waitron could improve their service. Children enjoyed the birthday party.

Its a good time. Friendly staff that are eager to welcome you into their little hidden cove. Its lovely to be seated above the road- its an added bonus in my opinion; it creates an atmosphere and view that no other Spur can really say they offer. I've never had a bad experience there, and look forward to my next visit.

We had a great afternoon here. We were seated close to the play area. Even though we could keep a close eye on the play area, it was comforting to know that there is a staff member dedicated to the area.
Our waitron was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is situated on the first floor, there is a lift making it suitable for wheelchairs or elderly patrons. Certain parts of the restaurant are not wheelchair friendly.

The Spur are still the best family restaurant.
The Golden Spur i visit was very nice. The staff very friendly and the service good and efficient. The steak i ordered was perfectly done. They do have a great menu and still value for money. I will recommend this outlet.
