Presentation looks great but the taste of the yellow bowl is horrible. The “ramen” is so westernized and chewy, worse than 2 min noodles. The only respectable part of the dish is the meat itself. The broth was very plain with no taste.

Small cozy shop with friendly staff. But the food needs a lot more work.

Had the yellow broth and everything is just right. From the egg to the ramen. The broth is light not too heavy or salty. The “Turkish delight” is a delicious touch to the meal. Also enjoyed the stuffed squid and Asian coleslaw, just a bit heavy on the dressing. The green smoothie is super yummy. If you choose something light to drink, try their rooibos ice tea that doesn’t contain any sugar.

Little cozy pop-up with counter seating. Had the fried chicken, the sauce was a very nice counterbalance to the breading meat. Small plate -suggest you may want to order more than one item per person. Available drinks appear to be limited to still or sparkling water. Recommend

The pride they take in locally sourced and organic produce really shows in the deliciously fresh broth bowls. There’s 4 options. The chicken and chorizo is a must! Great use of a tight space.

We went for dinner here. The place is very small with an open kitchen. They have a Japanese interior flair which suits the small space. However it is not very cosy as the door is too close to the guests and I would therefore only recommend this for quick lunch. Our soup was not hot but only warm, we were not sure if this is normal. I ate the soup in 2-3 minutes and it felt more like a snack. The waitor is also the cook which makes it more a snack place from my perspective.

Hands down one of my favorite places to go for lunch! As of yet I'm still addicted to the Brown broth, with it's perfectly cooked venison and soothingly rich and spicy base. Still loads more to try there, but definitely a must try!

I was delighted to find Marrow again- I thought with COVID that they had closed forever- but thank goodness not- just moved to a super cute spot in Newlands. The best part is they also do delivery- which makes it even easier to get my Chicken Soup fix. Seriously this chicken soup - words don't do it justice, and the bonus is how it packs a nutrient punch!! I also had the yellow bowl which was delicious. I nearly fell over when my 7 year old- who refuses to eat soup- ate 2 helpings of the broth with noodles. We will certainly be ordering again.
