Really tasty burgers (even without the burger bun), and awesome smoothies.
Excellent scenic location along the Canal.
The friendly, efficient service is refreshing, and the coffee is great too :)

Unacceptably long wait, we were there for over an hour, in that time we had to wait almost 25min just to get our orders of coffee, getting our food was also a extremely long wait. We are patient patrons usually, and I rarely give bad reviews, but this service was not good. Waiters was ok, but the time we waited for our order is unacceptable. When the croissant came, one was half the size of the other (at R30 a croissant, one would at least expect a decent size), my wife's bagel was missing its cream cheese, and my breakfast did not even arrive, apparently the bacon was finished and neglected to inform us about that. One can be busy and still deliver good service, brewing a cup of coffee takes 2 min max (I know because I can). And they were not even that busy to be honest. Real dissapointing experience.

Best early start to a work day. Great coffee and views. Accessible from highways and affordable parking garages close by. PowerPoint to plug and work as well.

This is a fabulous spot located on the canals in the City of Cape Town. Warm, inviting and pet friendly.. the buzzing atmosphere tempts you to stay longer.
Fresh bakes on display and the most enticing aroma of freshly ground coffee beans … blissful.
As this spot is on the canal and on the main thoroughfare to the big City it makes for the perfect stop for breakfast or coffee stop when venturing the area.
We were promptly seated and ordered breakfast for four … two of the same items … toasted ham u0026 cheese and the man size breakfast … (waiter had to confirm a few times… 3 to be exact) .. no worries looking forward to coffee …
One Caffe Latte arrived then the Chai Latte and I was desperately seeking my masterful Cappuccino which was forgotten but brought round later.
It has been Covid and in this time of uncertainty a lot can be excused absolutely.. we will carry on looking forward to breakfast..
Beautifully presented on black plates .. absolutely enticing and visually appealing. Toasted sandwich came with cream cheese .. not appreciated by the 8 year old … but nevertheless.. it was good.
Breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, mushrooms and tomato were fantastic. Sadly the bacon could not be cut with my serrated steak knife which I proved to the waiter while laughing hysterically… he said he would speak to the Chef .. sadly he never returned. Only to bring the bill.
Would have been great to get some feedback regarding the bacon on both plates. But we will blame the current situation .. rest was awesome.
Cappuccino was beautiful.
Only other annoyance which is not a critique but more of a request is to have salt and pepper we had two salt one which came out so fast we got over salted. The request for tomato sauce, honey and chili was brought after two requests and then during the meal our tomato sauce was removed never to be seen again … little things but silly annoyances they remain.
Will return again as the concept and vibe is good. Perhaps a bad morning … but forgivable this time ????????

The ambiance is set up for maximum productivity, there are outlets at every table, the food is yummmmmy, not too heavy, but still flavour packed. BUT the music is so loud you can't even hear yourself think, the waiter we had? She was on her phone the whole time, we had to hunt her down EVERY time we needed something and she knew nothing about the menu. The cups smelled like spit and when I told the waiter, she said "oh haha SHAME"??? Other than that I do think it's a nice place for coffee with friends or a quick lunch with colleagues, but I suggest you ask for tea/coffee in the paper cups.

I go here often for good coffee and friendly service (usually, and specific staff) as by my office But I can't recommend for quick meals..
Atleast 40% of the times I ordered a meal (no matter how 'simple' the meal or empty the restaurant..) I've waited way longer than I consider typical. In some cases the staff didn't even come check in on me or apologize for the meal taking too long.
Example: Today I ordered a breakfast roll with medium poached eggs (standard item, had everything in stock) but I waited maybe 40 minutes only for them to eventually have to give it to me in a takeaway box as I was by then in a rush to get somewhere else. While my waiter who was new seemed apologetic (at one stage apologized for the wait) it didn't appear like the kitchen or other more senior-staff was concerned or cared that it obviously went badly.
To crown things off, I later saw my poached eggs was downgraded to normal scrambled eggs. They didn't even tell me, even though they would have seen it when they gave me the food.
Not the first time this has happened either...
So yes, some staff great and coffee is great but needs to work on its sit-down service. I did notice that a senior waiter that usually gives great service and the manager/owner wasn't there so not sure if this is tied to the slow service.
