nice and nicely decorated guest house located in the better area of town, not rigth in the busy center of long street but not too far from it, and just 5 min. walk from trendy kloof street. breakfast is included in price but served in another restaurant. free coffee and tea available all day long. i arrived a bit earlier than 14:00 check-in time , but was still wellcomed by the helpfull receptionist and my room was arranged earlier than usual. wi-fi connection was good and available in all parts of the property. nice small garden allows to enjoy table mountain view and excercise in the fresh air or sit and eat in the tables and chairs in it. shower was good, strong stream and hot and cold water.

Beautiful place to stay in Capetown close to Kloof Street where the night life with lots of nice bars takes place. Wonderful landlord/lady! Very kind and helpful. Great to start tours for paragliding, climbing or just enjoying the city. Amazing breakfast. A must try! Hope to come back soon.

Comfortable. Affordable. Great location. It would be nice to have an easier access to the backyard rooms. We had a lot of luggage and the route through the house/kitchen and down the backstairs was murder on my back. Still...loved the garden setting and friendly greet by the staff.

Such a very very beautiful place, well situated. We got a separate back room lfrom the main building which was super unexpected and beyond most local hotels i thought i am at a 7 start boutique. I would highly recommend the place before looking elsewhere. I am definitely coming back here and recommend it. We had a garden view with a bit of table mountain in side. Staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to help.

I stayed at the lions guest house about a year ago and have been meaning to write this review for a while now because choosing to stay here absolutely made our trip! Our room was perfect and the staff was incredible. Really felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. My luggage was lost in transit to Cape Town and the staff was so incredibly helpful in talking to airlines on the phone and getting my bags back before I left for a safari. They were also amazing at helping us setup daily excursions and adventures which really made for a memorable stay. The morning breakfast was so delightful and we even made some incredible new friends while staying at the lions which I keep in touch with to this day. Truly one of the best places I’ve stayed throughout my travels. I would certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to cape town.

We had a wonderful stay, perfect location, amazing breakfast and wonderfull staff

Good food and personal attention.

The staff was very hospitable and the location was superb.

There are also cakes/sweets available during the day for guests.

We absolutely loved the lionsgate. We felt comfortable, secure, and well cared for the entire time.
This property exceeded my expectations.

Anthony was very friendly, accommodating and kind!

I totally recommend! ????????

The bad things was the city noise, noisy cars, motorcycles, sirens ???? and people talked, well was temporarily.

Absolutely perfect place to stay. The owners are super friendly, they give you good advise, solved a booking problem for me within an hour and even gave me the same price then (for another room). Would always come back!
