My husband and i went here as one of our stops on our honeymoon. I can't stress enough how out of the world this food was. We were dancing with each bite and left feeling satisfied. Honestly think it is the best restaurant we have EVER eaten from. If you have the chance to go, you won't regret it.

Very hard to find, we’ve been going around looking for the restaurant and when we asked and found it a guy came out to lead us to it. However the food was amazing and the service was excellent I’m glad we had dinner here.

It saddens me that Test Kitchen is closing down. So as a last tribute from abroad I will share my experience at one of my favourite restaurants ever.

I went to Test Kitchen after they won the awards as Africa's best restaurant and top 50 in the world by S.Pellegrino u0026 Acqua Panna. I and got to experience a true culinary adventure. The experience started in the dark room where we could choose from salty, bitter, sweet and sour cocktails to accompany our first set of edible gems.

The dark room took us around the world with anise marinated springbok carpaccio from South Africa, Billionaire's shortbread from Scotland, Ssamjang veg from Korea, Tuna from Japan, Coconut Langoustines from Mauritius, Lamb Roti from India and much more. This experience in itself was priceless.

The light room was the next step of Test Kitchen's culinary journey. As the name might give away, this place was the open, vibrant and light dining area next to kitchen and the prep station.

All the meals from start to finish were prepared with finesse, expertise and joy. Everything from the miniature bread loaf and the deconstructed food to the dramatic plating, finishing touches and even the palate cleansers - were absolutely amazing.

We had a stunning meal here last night -ambience amazing and extremely friendly staff. We shared a number of starters - all amazing as well as the mushroom and leek ravioli which was absolutely delicious. There was an event in at the biscuit mill So parking was difficult- I phoned the restaurant and Brown ( manager at the Pot luck club) directed me to the secure parking across the road - he personally came and met us to escort us to the restaurant- super impressed! Thank you we will be back

Finally got to experience the magic of Chef Luke Dale Roberts and he did not disappoint. The menu was an explosion of flavours, colours and textures. Although the restaurant is small in size, the interior is tastefully decorated. The only negative is that there is usually a lot of noise coming from the kitchen and if you’re sitting close by it can be a disturbance. Regardless, I would definitely go back and honoured to have gotten the chance to experience the food here
