Looks better in pictures. Could use an upgrade. Staff is super friendly. No parking. Passage lights are automated, makes it really scary. Has very vintage feel, gorgeous wooden floors. Not a bad place; just won't be going back anytime soon.

I stayed here continuously in the fall of 2015.
10 days from September 15th to 25th and 20 days from October 15th to November 4th.
Stayed for a total of one month.

It was a very nice hotel.
A building where you can feel the length of history.
The lobby and rooms are carefully maintained.
Even though it has a long history, there are few parts that are old. A comfortable building.

The elevator door is heavy.
The door opening and closing was manual, not automatic. If my memory is correct.
(May have been another hotel)
However, the manual door was also fun.

I am not good at English.
The staff spoke slowly and the conversation was established.
I appreciate the hospitality of the staff.

The breakfast was delicious too.
Cape Town hotel breakfast is low in vegetables.
Some hotels have no vegetables at all. (There is fruit)

But Tudor Hotel also had vegetables. I felt that this point was also good.

Tudor Hotel is a low-cost hotel with clean rooms and high-quality cuisine.
I recommend this hotel.

The service was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I arrived at the hotel at 6 am. The staff allowed me to check in at that time. Lovely ambiance to the place and homely feeling.

Central location. Free travel buddy with city guide, internet and free local calls. Budget accommodation which includes breakfast. Fabulous staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms. Upper floors are quieter. Has a bar. Oldest hotel in Cape Town.

Very poor accommodation.
The roof was leaking, the accommodation is dated.
Payment was made in full ahead of time, however the guest was made to pay AGAIN because they did not check the proof of payment that was sent to them.
Very stroppy when a complaint is lodged and do not deal well with dissatisfied customers, especially when they are in the wrong.

......Its almost unbelievable that an establishment founded in 1750 is not on the tongues of everybody in and around Cape Town! If it wasn't for some relatives coming to Cape town for business purposes and the company booking the venue because it happens to be right in the heart of the business district and almost intersects with St. Georges Mall. It seems to be clean enough but small and the decorations are not bad but snazzii in its own way........
