We love OB and have tried several OB franchise restaurants across many locations. We have found that OB at Mall@Reds often has the best dining experience with the best tasting food.

Our last visit here was a little disappointing as our order was not well timed. The breads arrived at the same time as our starter and one of our meals was not prepared as per instructions. The waitress seemed a little distracted.

The floor manager was very friendly and helpful in rectifying the issue with the kitchen.

Waited 30 minutes to be attended to. Lots of frustrated customers. Some waiting 20 minutes plus for a drink. Not enough waiters and outside seating only served when customers went to complain. Customers had to physically go and collect their own menu's. Management need to attend to these issues seriously. My wife and I got up and left without managing staff or any personnel even noticing our departure. Crawdaddy's ended up getting my business. Will not recommend this place on a month end weekend unless you are desperate and are willing to wait hours and be happy about it.

We had supper on the 1st of October 2022 at mall @reds ocean basket. It was not busy at all, more than half the restaurant was empty. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and the waitress didn't take drinks order we even tried to order drinks while she was still at the table, and after about 5 mins she came back to ask us of we ordered drinks. Some of the food we ordered they got wrong and had to be sent back. Once we done with our main course after trying to signal about 5 waiters we waited about 15 mins before they brought a dessert menu. On top of all that 5 different people attended to our table, our waiter/waitress didn't give us a name ot introduce themself. I really will never go back to that ocean basket again. And I've been to the mall of Africa ob a few times and the service and food were much better even though they were busier every time

Used to be good. Tried it after a while.
Food is bland and sushi was too dry.
Friendly though.

Ashley is an excellent Host. He takes pride in serving people with a very pleasant and humble attitude. He made excellent recommendations towards our menu selection. Definitely an Ocean Basket 'Employee of the Day'.

Previous visits have aleays been good but this visit wasn't great. I took the prawn special. The prawns were overcooked / sticking to the shells. Was tasty but hard work.

Great food and lekker atmosphere.
The calamari is to die for.
The restaurant is situated on the corner and presents you with a great view over the food court and Raslouw area
