I had a great experience celebrating my birthday at the River Place lodge.
The room was spacious and the bathroom gorgeous. No issue with the heater, that kept us warm during the cold of winter. The wifi worked well. The lodge also has a hiking trail for those looking to exercise. Climbing the mountain was a bit hectic but there is a beautiful view from the top. The staff is friendly. On the menu, we ate their lamb shank with mashed potatoes, which was quite delicious. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Ken and his team were phenomenal during our recent stay at River Place. The accommodation, conference facilities and meals were fantastic and the staff were incredibly helpful and so friendly and welcoming. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

It was unfortunately a disappointment. It look nothing like the photos on the website. The facilities are broken downand for a locgr called river place you can't see or access much of the river. There was a party going on the whole day so we didn't have any peace and quiet (the main reason why we wanted to get out of the city). The suite didn't have a microwave or fireplace. The air-conditioning didn't work. The service wasn't too bad but unfortunately that doesn't make up for everything. Not worth the price.

I visited Riverplace Lodge over the long weekend with my younger sister. It was an absolute pleasure. Ken and Ellen were great hosts. They made sure that we were well looked after, and accommodated our requests.
If you ever stop by their restaurant, I’d highly recommend their lamb shank; it’s to die for.????
Can’t wait to go back again.????

My business magical Flowers By Brigitte has done may flowers for conferences and weddings, Birthdays and other get togethers.. A warm team of staff members... A little piece of heaven in the bush and incredible food.. A must to visit

Absolutely loved the beautiful views of the mountains and river. Having a family that are fussy eaters, the food and desserts served was delicious and nobody could find fault. Will be going out there again????

Beautiful peaceful place, makes you feel like like you are far from the city and you can rest. The management and staff are friendly and accommodating.
