We felt very unwelcome. The owner accused us of unsavory behavior, and she escorted us to our room where we had to show her our belongings. There was no hot water on the first night . There was no television signal throughout our stay. We will never be going back. Best part of the stay was the friendly dog on the premises.

Stayed here during a business trip. Friendly staff.
Was a bit disappointed in the cleanliness of the establishment.
Previous guests hair was still visible in the shower and basin.
A bit of maintenance needed.

Very disappointing, we were definitely over charged. The swimming pool was green. The outside furniture is falling apart. The bathroom has a curtain instead of a door and the bathroom window is connected to the kitchen. The shower walls and floor are cracked and discoloured. The cleaning staff only came to clean three times within the seven days that we were there despite advertising claiming that there was a daily cleaning service. We had to request toilet paper several times and had to go buy toilet paper at one point. The towels smelled mouldy and were only replaced when we specifically requested new towels and even the new towels that we received smelled mouldy. We were four adults who booked a self catering unit, we thought we were going to have two rooms and two bathrooms with a kitchen area, instead we arrived to one room which had a bunk bed squashed next to a double bed with one small bathroom. The bathroom had a shower without a door and a toilet with a loose toilet seat and the “kitchen area” was a fridge, stove, kettle and sink on the patio outside the room. There was also a pet dog running freely on the property which meant that guests are responsible for making sure the dog doesn’t get out when they open and close the gate and for making sure that the dog doesn’t enter the rooms.

The only positives I can list are the aircon, clean bedding and the location.

I had a very pleasant stay here. I have never stayed in a guest house before and wouldn't have if I had another option but I am glad I did. The setting is simply amazing, nestled in a gorgeous jungle setting complete with a band of about 20 monkeys that visit most mornings. Very friendly people here and the room was clean. Couldn't ask for more, if I come back to Durban I will skip the pretentious Fairmont and go straight here.

Worst experience ever! From a non impressive suite structure that does not offer any privacy at all to a bed that felt like sleeping on a station bench. As if that was not enough, we were accused of damaging an iron as we checked out. Taken for an interrogation that left me immensely offended. When I suggested that we rather open our suitcases for them to check if there was any burnt clothing item, they refused to do so but kept on insisting we had damaged their iron. Never have I felt insulted and degraded in my life. The place is just a far cry from what is advertised. Not my money's worth and I will forever regret making a booking there and will NEVER recommend to anybody.

Ray and Tony are simply the best! I wish I could give them 100 stars instead of 5. So friendly, accommodating and they go the extra mile to make your stay the best ever. Thank you for everything! We hope to be back again soon xxxxxxx
