It was a great experience to swim in the tidal pool and walk through the hole in the wall while the waves were splashing water on us. Spectacular view, and we could also see quite a bit of the ocean's wildlife inside the tidal pool as well, such as small fish, crabs, corals. I would go back again!

Visit to Thompson beach made our holiday extra special. Great beach with everything one could need. Safe parking, life guard on duty, umbrella to hire @ R70, clean change rooms and warm water showers. Tidal pool was a blast and the hole in the wall was phenomenal to see in person.

Great swimming spot. The tidal pool is large for a good swim or snorkelling to see some beautiful life. The path that leads to hole in the wall is just passed the tidal pool, a good sight to see. There are lifeguards stationed there in the day and there are flagged areas on the shoreline to swim safely.

Wow an awesome experience more so the Tidal pool that is full of colourful fish and clear water. Well worth the visit more so for kids and also its free. Also the hole in the wall was a nice experience.

What a beautiful clean beach , very safe with life guards ... the high light of visiting Thompson Bay is the Hole in the wall

We actually intended to just go and see the "hole in the wall" so the tidal pool was a very pleasant surprise. The water does vary from shallow to really deep ends but it's quite easy to figure it out. Absolutely beautiful

Tidal pool make sure you go through to the beach on the other side, such a thrill especially in the evening when the waves are strong. #S21 #galaxys21
