The most unprofessional hospital
Disrespectful and rude admission staff
Terrible customer service skills
Lack of empathy or care for elderly/ sick patients

My mom, along with many other patients were ignored for almost an hour waiting for admission.

Please review camera footage as proof. From 14h40 till 15h40, March 02 2022.

There were no staff members at the front desk nor were there any employees communicating the reason for the delay.

After almost an hour long wait, I approached the desk to find a male employee Gabriel who showed no interest in wanting to attend to me or my mother. He bluntly said "Someone is coming, we are short staffed." And then stood mumbling under his breathe at the printing machines as if we were a joke.

I watched many ladies wearing pink shirts and no masks walk up and down while we were unattended to. When I began to raise my voice and asked to speak to the manager thats when myself and my mother were finally acknowledged.

A female by the name of Ferrial, finally decided to help us, but then rudely said we are short staffed. Someone will attend to you shortly. I stated to her that its truly a disgrace for such a well-known fancy hospital to have such terrible customer service. Being short staffed and having no staff is two different things. My mom is sickly and so are the rest of the patients who were ignored. That is very wrong. On 14 Feb 2022, my mom was also treated badly by hospital staff and out of fear of mistreatment during her stay, she chose to remain quiet. She asked the nurses daily to see an onsite Psychologist, and this was disregarded. Because when I contacted the Psychologist my mom requested, she stated that no one had contacted her. Up until 18 Feb 2022, she was not given the opportunity to see a Psychologist. On discharge that day, my mother had to carry her own bags out the hospital. A SIGN OF UTTER LACK OF EMPATHY FOR THE ELDERY OR UNWELL PATIENTS

As I witnessed the utter disrespect from the members of staff from the admission staff today, I could not remain quiet. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY PERSON TO WASTE THEIR TIME COMING TO THIS HOSPITAL. We got to the hospital at 14h40, my mom was only taken to her ward at 16h25.
Pre- authorization was already approved long before we even got to the hospital. But still we had to wait for a bed. HOW CAN THIS BE AWAREDED THE BEST PRIVATE HOSPITAL IN DURBAN?
Please advice staff members like Herbet and Gabriel to not pass comments in zulu about the patients who are right infront of them. Some of us understand zulu and ITS BEYOND RUDE. I never wish for anyone to experience what I had to witness today, but I'm glad now people can see that this is a reality, even in a fancy hospital.

Great experience from start to end. A special thank you to the night nursing staff who were so friendly and kind even though their shift was about to end as well as the theatre nurses who really made a very anxious patient be at ease, I really appreciated your kindness and care. To the day nurses in the ward, thank you for your patience and attentiveness. Overall a great experience

The hospital is small, neat and clean. I had heard that it was a good private hospital. To my surprise I was asked my religion during admission. I ran around the day before to get a covid test because the hospital administrator misinformed me about rapid tests being admissible. During a series of questions, some a bit weird, I was told that only generic medicines are used. After my procedure I was given normal food which caused me to vomit twice. The Dr informed the nurses that I should not have had solids. To add insult to injury, I was given ricoffee the following morning. Of course I asked for nescafe which they did not offer. They served a cheap mixed juice which gave me a nagging head-ache and 100% juice was not an option. I waited for hours to get a towel and both my neighbors emergency buttons were not working, so I had to use mine for a nurses attention. For a private hospital, a lot of things were done quite cheaply. The actual surgery went well, however my gynae charged me as much as the medical aid paid her. All in all, a bitter sweet experience.

The nurses and staff of this hospital went the extra mile to ensure that I am comfortable and taken care of after my shoulder operation. It was like having 5 star hotel service! My gratitude and appreciation for all!

Had a horrible experience with the staff on all levels , the lack of care and attention in a place of personal care is terrible.
Staff have there own agendas to fulfill.
There is no communication and it is as if like we are requesting a favor for healthcare .
So disappointed in the care rendered here will not advise anyone looking for actually real care beyond what we can do for a loved ones .
