It is what you can expect from City Lodge. Clean, neat and everything in its place. Pillows in my room was a little soft. Condiments standard. The viewing channels are limited.
Breakfast good and enough to choose from. I had steak for supper, a bit tough otherwise good. You can choose to sit inside our outside in the garden/pool are. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Nice location just opposite, walking distance, from Gateway shopping centre where the options to dine are plenty. Can be noisy from the surrounding flats and in my case until early morning.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. I discovered that the duvet cover was torn after night 2 of our stay. I reported this to reception at around 8am and requested that this be sorted out before my return. I got back at around 8.15pm and found that it hadn't been changed. Waited another hour for housekeeping, which was not nice considering that I was tired and wanted to shower and get to bed. There were towel shortages on ~3 days of my 7-day stay which was also frustrating since I couldn't shower until there were towels available. It was an overall good experience.

Very basic, should you want a bath sart running it before you go shopping and just maybe it will be ready by the time you get back....real slow. We were informed that they had airport shuttle.....no such thing ??? beware of what booking.

Felt like an under 18 checking in this hotel. Had to cancel my family booking of the 26 to 29 August also I'm still to be paid the refund. Very bad attitude from the gentleman at the front desk who behaves as if he ows City Lodge. I think his name is Elvis, the less l speak about his name the better. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Otherwise the staff in general is very friendly.

This place is perfect, I'll give 101% and the staff is wonderful and this place is very neat and buzzing for all you know, I'll be back in December with my family.

Fantastic location - close to the Umhlanga beaches and right on the doorstep of Gateway Mall. Rooms are clean and well sized. Service is adequate for the property. The gym is handy and while not large its decent enough for 3 people at once. If you fancy the activity in front of the mall - get a mall facing room. Parking available in the basement and All in all a good property. ????

Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good service. Television channels is a bit disappointing. The room I was staying in was not very quiet I could hear everything that's happening in the street. It was very loud ,and on a Sunday a person wants a bit of peace and quiet.
