I have been there before and was previously a pleasant experience
This time, it seemed like they were not prepared even though the reservation was made prior to arrival
The sheets and towels were dirty and didn't look like they were washed prior to our occupation which I thought was super inconvenient and unhygienic
Otherwise it's always a good place to come to.
People are professional and accommodating

Essenwood House unfortunately did not live up to my expectation. The pictures are nicer than actual place.
Overall assessment is that the concept is there, but it is lacking Management. Bathrooms need maintenance u0026 cleanliness. Kitchen service needs improvement.
The place has great potential but is lacking proper management.

Sorry guys. I'm a lover of old houses. Like your decor style, but your bed feels like sleeping on a plank, no cups and spoons to make coffee, eventhough the kettle is there. No towels. Cold shower and didn't bother staying for breakfast. Rounding off work by contractor lacking too.

Worst place nd the pictures pictures in the internet are way different than what I saw nd the rooms are dirty ,bedding is dirty nd rooms are stuffy nd they are smelling ,yes stuff are friendly but the place it's a mess nd hell for a holiday.
They must stop lying to scam people that place its not a five star

Dirty linen. The four-poster bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Paper-thin walls, could hear EVERYTHING happening in my neighbor’s room. Poor parking facilities.

1 Sep I have spoke with a lady working there, she promise she will phone me back in connection with my cancelation and money onwed to me!!!
Needless to say no phone call and I have tried 11 yesterday and now they aren't picking up...
2 Sep try to phone 7 times, no pick up!!!

The place is beautiful but needs maintenance, and I think they are also short staffed, they need to hire more cleaners. The staff members were very friendly, Sibusiso and Sbo tried by all means to make sure our stay was comfortable.
