Wasn't able to stay there as
Siphosethu (the staff member who took our reservation for a week-long stay) turned us away after we arrived and sent our Uber driver away.
We called Siphosethu from the airport and offered to pay her to secure the room, however, she said we couldn't because they only take walk-ins.
We even called Siphosethu with updates and she gave no indication we would lose the room. Siphosethu said nothing of losing the room until we got inside with our family (wife, myself, 2 daughters 25 and 19,13 yo son and 2year old granddaughter).
Siphosethu even went so far as to laugh cynically at my wife after she gave the room to someone else she knew - all of this in front my wife and family.
The only consultation is a coworker of Siphosethu's saw what was happening and pleaded with Siphosethu to honor her commitment to us. However she gave us attitude and made jokes with her customer/friend.
We had to summon and pay for another driver to take us to the Regal Inn, however, they only have one night available. Could have gone anywhere,
This is our first time to Durban.
