We arrived at the hotel late at night, The Free parking is a lie, we had to park our car outside in the street and got towed, The Hotel Nightshift service is TERRIBLE, The hotel room had a HORRIBLE smell, The linen was unwashed we had to seep on our beach towels, the floors were not cleaned we found cigarrete buds on the floor, we were not instructed on how to activate/switch on the electricity plugs we only got assisted next day by the the day shift team, the water temperature is either hot or cold, there is no medium. Please do not boo your stay here!!!! the location is horrible.

Not worth the money at all. Room was a small windowless box, very filthy oily floors, no toiletseat, no towels. The TV only had 3 channels, and was just static. There's constant noise of people running down the halls and shouting. It appeared that staff were trying to break into someone's room at 01:00 in the morning, hammering away at the lock. Most of them were also quite rude and unhelpful. Flickering lights and dirt everywhere, and the only place you can make coffee is in the lobby. Have to pay extra for parking. There are many other hotels/lodges in the area that seem a lot better than this one. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for anyone, seeing as it ruined my vacation and experience.

The place is great and very clean except the rooms do not have windows, you literally feel like you in a coffin you can't see whether it is day or night you only have air-conditioning. The power cuts off when you are not around and than the fridge leaks. No microwave, no kettle in the room you have to go down stairs for those and you iron outside if you need to.
Such a turn off!!

The noise in this place, its not even a hotel this nonsense its more of a student residence!!! Yey, i couldn't sleep at all, around 01:00am till 03:00 people were screaming and shouting, playing soccer or vallery balley i don't know but wow!!! I will never ever recommend anyone to book in this place.

I don't think this is a hotel seriously, maybe they switch into a hotel when its on weekends but by the way look of things and the way it is in this place, i assume indawo yabantwana baskolo, woooh shame! Never ever!!!

I had the worst experience at Solrand hotel from day 1 10/10/2019. I walked in to book a room and guess what they was 3 receptionists eating maize and having a good laugh while I waited to be helped. They finally decided to help, no greeting or welcome to our hotel. We came to visit Durban for the 1st time coming from Capetown and what a bad way to your visit.I booked in room 18 and went to my room only to find out that they is no tissue or towels to use. Had to go down stairs to ask and again no apologies was given. Instead the lady at the desk started shouting saying she had enough of the lady or ladies that clean the rooms but l was not interested in that cause that was non of my business. All l wanted was an apology and fix the problem. Day 2 same problem no towels to be used and have to go down stairs to ask again.???????????? . Breakfast was bad as l don’t eat spicy ???? food and they could not help me because that was the only food on the menu for that day. Really guys. So much can be done and your service.Very disappointing experience
