Had the opportunity of dining at the Tatso Restaurant on Friday 19 August 2022. Read all the reviews loaded onto the webpage and was not looking forward to taking the wife out for the evening, especially at R270 per person. On arrival, a very friendly staff member received us and allocated us a table for two. Took my cellphone to the buffet area ready to take photographs proving the reviews were valid. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of foods available and the service. We were served with the required foods in helping sizes which was very reasonable. At times I had to insist on smaller servings indicating that I will be back for seconds if necessary. The two hours limit was more than sufficient. If you have to host a party at the restaurant, remember there are others waiting to get in. If the food is so bad, why the long queues outside waiting to get in. If you require 3 or 4 hours, get a private venue where you will not disturb others. Things do get rowdy at a party. To the management of the restaurant, well done. I have been to many restaurants where I expect the best for my money and I am fussy about the food I get served. To the Tatso management, guys you are the best.

This is the worst place one can go for a family occation, Micah being in the hospitality industry was a very rude and un-accommodateing gentleman, my sister thought it would be a great idea to celebrate her babies 1 year birthday at this place however by phone they had promised so much but to our disappointment when we finally got there it was all a lie.. my sister was in tears as she had invited our entire family (23 of us). Micah told us to stand in a line then he demanded we pay before we sit, he was very rude to everyone, in the end we decided to leave. Micah had commented that he was happy to see us go. But in contrast Jaipure palace had accomadated all of us with no reservation, they gave us the best treatment and the food was amazing, in part i am glad we did not stay. If the service is bad at the door, then i can only imagine what the food will be like. Thank you

Very disappointed with Sunday dinner.

Hardly any food options,,staff very stubborn,,, refused to make more food as stuff got finished with earlier patrons.

I asked for a refund but was refused one.

Managers on duty did try to help by getting my husband a plate of food about an hour after we arrived.

I was even refused ice cream,,no idea why.

Lots of promise but failed to deliver in my view. Apart from the deserts, the food was of poor quality. Bread rolls were stale and hard. Items from the grill are poorly cooked. Soda fountain available that’s included in the cost of the buffet.

The deserts were nice. There’s a soft serve ice cream machine which was really nice.

Staff are very helpful though. Understandably so, you are not allowed to help yourself at the buffet; staff dish for you. Venue was clean and neat.

Lovely Buffet, Value for Money. Good selection of Curries, Roast, pastas and desserts are lovely. Good Vegetarian menu.

I was there with the family on Saturday the 1st of May 2021. The food was okay. But the manner in which the so called manager runs the place is utter rubbish. It was my daughter's birthday and some of our guests had not arrived. The manager attired in a blue shirt and black pants says we can only bethere for two hours. Is this how you treat your patrons? My wife was there during the week and she wasn't told anything of this nature. The staff of the restaurant said even they didn't know about this.

Visited Sibiya after years and decided to give this restaurant a try during my stay there after soon finding out that it had replaced A2A. Paid R220 for a buffet dinner and the variety was appalling to say the least. Food was bland and the grilled meat was cold. Only two flavors of ice-cream and sub-par dessert. I'd recommend heading to Butcher Block (next restaurant situated just before the food-court) for much better value for money and far superior food quality.
