Easily our favourite place to grab a bite. The food is incredible, affordable drinks and even better environment. It's always a good time when we visit, and you can't help but make friends with the people around you! 10/10

On a rare break from caring for my parents, I managed to get down to Umhlanga. Having practically been raised there, Umhlanga has a special place in my heart and the Village has grown into a lovely city. I managed to drag my cousin out, who lives in Umhlanga, but rarely goes out. We started our ventures at the George with a couple of beverages. Whilst sitting enjoying them, I decided to look at their specials and I am glad I did. I decided to try the Chicken Schnitzel with chips and I am glad I did. The schnitzel was tender and juicy and hot as were the chips. It came with a beverage which my cousin had. The service was friendly and very good, with more than one waiter/tres, serving us and checking that we were OK or needed something. Makes a world of difference when staff gel as a team and know what they are doing and love doing it! I will certainly be back there soon. Awesome and down to earth place just to chill and have a pub meal in Umhlanga. Meals which are not as oily or greasy as typical bar food. Had the home made pie only after I saw hubby and my mom enjoy theirs so much. Delish. The vibe is awesome, more mature people who enjoy and appreciate what truly matters in life seem to come here.

A good pub and a great place to watch English Premier League games, especially if you're a fan of Liverpool FC. I can also recommend the gin and tonic that is on draught.

Very nive pub, waiters are just very rude. I suggest grabing a seat at the bar and getting to know the bartender while watching sport.
Waiter that killed our whole night was very deliberate and would not come talk to our table after he told us to "sshhhh too loud" at a pub!?!?

This place is a must visit whenever I am in the area. You feel welcome, the staff engages you, and they have you drinking and eating in no time at all. They know what they are doing, know their drinks and promotes the daily special. This is a really cheap option and you feel like you're having your pubgrub of yesteryear. Absolutely loves it.
