5/5 Great outing for the family. Learn about the aviation history of South Africa while being up close to real planes and helicopter. Free entrance (but make a donation to support the upkeep).

We decided to take a trip to this museum, and after driving for 4km on a very quiet road, just before we thought that we may be lost, it appeared in front of us.

Museum has utilized every inch of space to provide information about the topic. Get up close to the engines, planes, weapons and view old uniforms.

There is a hanger a small walk away from the museum building and if you ask nicely you may be able to see planes being restored.

Recommended outing for the whole family.

We are in Eastern Cape for 5 years now and we never knew that this place existed. The reason is that there are no advertising. Tis is a gem hidden away at the back of the airport. This was a great place to visit. You just need to advertise more.

A great learning experience. The kids particularly enjoyed the aircraft jungle gym. Reasonably priced items at the curio shop. Cap at R70 and R100 for a mug.

We had a wonderful trip down memory lane thanks to our experienced guide. He had some interesting facts and a good knowledge of the aviation history of SA. Very well preserved piece of our heritage.

Well worth a visit if you are ever in the Port Elizabeth area.

Very educational, had a walkthrough with a friend of the museum, he was very knowledgeable and passionate. Museum has a great collection of old letters, official documents, photos, newspapers clippings, pilot note books, old flying instruction handbooks, and even historic pilot flying log books.
