What a wonderful stay, pleasant staff always smiling and forever helpful really felt safe and happy with staff from security staff to housekeepers. I will recommend the hotel to friends and family. THANK YOU Paxton hotel for the hospitality and pleasant welcome and always helping. Will be back soon.
Restaurant staff were always around checking if everything is fine. And for the price was well worth the stay.

Beautiful surroundings. Decor perfect. Friendly staff at reception. A tear in the lace curtain and a cockroach in the room spoilt what was otherwise a great place and lovely interior. Although the rooms are very quiet when walking to the room from the lifts the audible chatter and arguments of cleaning staff was disappointing but once inside, it is completely quiet. Good value for money. They should consider increasing the rate to include breakfast rather than charging breakfast separately.

We stayed here the night before an early flight out of Port Elizabeth, and the hotel did not disappoint. Tasty meal at the restaurant, good service, a clean room and an excellent location.

Particular attention to the effort the hotel is making to manage the resource crisis in the area - they have invested in a generator to help with load shedding (came in useful during our stay), and have encouraged significant water conservation in view of the serious drought in the region.

Kayla is absolutely amazing and attentive. Some of the staff are bit laxidazical but Kayla's professionalism and interest in the guest's experience makes up for the lack luster other staff.

We were checked into a room that was not ready and the carpet was wet.
After a room move all was well thank you. Lovely property.
Zintle was amazing during breakfast. She composed the right attitude, smile, service.

1. The hotel website directed me to a "3rd party" payment platform which doubled my rate for no reason!! Paxton hotel staff could not assist me and quite frankly did not care.

2. I was charged R1500 per night for a R850 per night room and did not get breakfast as was advertised. For that price no view, no breakfast. NOT value for money

In short, overpriced, rude staff, no customer care with regards to a booking platform that they do not know how to query. Will not stay here again

On our first night we discovered that the bed was actually sucken in and first thing in the morning, we reported it. They did something to it and it was slightly better but still very uncomfortable.

We also complained about the air-conditioning not working, they said they checked but there was no improvement! We had to resort to having the window open for some relief!

On our day of check out at 8.30am a male security knocked and opened our door to "wake us up" without even waiting for a response!! , only for them to realise he opened the wrong room, came back a second time and just opened to apologise for it being the wrong room while still not waiting for us to go to the door! That time my 9yr old was getting ready to shower with the bathroom door open.
