Very small but you will be able to get the essentials. The bakery is awesome! Extremely friendly personnel. Brilliant little supermarket if you do not want to go into town.

Came here a lot with family when I was younger; it is self-catering but the owners are always available to help if you ever need anything, if you are an animal lover you will love this place as the owners have pets who are very friendly, the guest house is a 5-10 minute walk away from both the beach and town, the guest house is beautiful and the guest houses are spacious and always clean. There is also a pool if you don't feel like going to the beach and very beautiful scenery.

After a long 15 hour journey, Louise was able to accommodate us on very short notice. When we arrived at the Brown Jug Guest House, we were welcomed to our cottage with a fire already burning for the cold winter weather. Our cottage was beautiful, consisting of 2 en suite bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen area, lounge and an area for dining. We had Dstv available as well as wifi. The quality of the beds and bedding are made sure that I had the best nights' sleep. The atmosphere is calm and tranquil, with an amazing mountain view. I will undoubtedly recommend the Brown Jug Guest House to anyone looking for an upclass place to stay. We will definitely go back!

Amazing place to stay in, with a beautifully maintained pool and huge rooms. Several rooms in each unit. I will never stay in another place in Hermanus, if I can help it.

Louise and Abel are amazing hosts. They look after one SO well, but you still have absolute privacy. In winter there are amazing fire places in two of the units. Sizila, the domestic worker, works extremely hard and is very friendly.

Another thing that is very important to me, is security. One can leave anything from computers, cell phones, iPads, and any other device in your unit, and know that it is absolutely safe. Good security is a MUST for me.

Indoor parking as well and a beautiful garden, maintained by Abel. Big ovens in all the units.

Brown Jug actually deserves ten stars!

A home away from home. Louise and her family are great. Sizliya was friendly and patient. Great location to just park and walk everywhere. Beautiful garden and awesome units, that caters to all the self-catering needs. Their pets, Keisha, Tula, Maatjie, and Sqeeky were well behave and friendly and looking for cuddles from everyone.
Definitely going back there.

Very good area, 200 m from town centre as well as the beach front. Nice and cosey accomodation with a fire place, secured parking and free WiFi. Two lovely cats as well as the most friendly two Labradors. Abel and Louise are the friendly owners and hosts of this jewel in Hermanus.

The guest house is so spot on,Our place was so huge and welcoming with everything that a tourist needs.Louise and her husband are so Godly loving and warm to the guests.As for uAunty Sizliya-God Bless you with your loving heart!
I recommend this place to everyone .........
