It was a really fun family outing. Be sure to book ahead of time to ensure you get a spot, and follow their instructions (warm clothing and bring socks for the gumboots). Get there early because there's quite a bit to look at inside and then you can grab a nice seat in front for the demonstration.
Suggestions for improvement: the tour guides could have been slightly better informed, since they weren't able to answer all of the group's questions (perhaps keep notes of recurring questions?) It would also have been nice to see the canning facilities as well as learn something about the growth of actual pearls.
