Not only is this the best coffee in Hermanus,
Jan u0026 Joan are 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet. I cannot recommended this place highly enough!

I recently visited Hermanus for the first time, joining a few friends that were already there. They had found this coffee shop beforehand and immediately took me there. What an amazing place, the coffee is wonderful; all of the home made freshly baked products are to die for; and the hosts are the nicest, most genuine, people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Whatever you do, do not miss out on The Handmill if you're in Hermanus!

Lovely and welcoming, despite clearly closing up. We had a wonderful coffee and chat with the owner. Would definitely recommend if you need a spot for a brief respite, delicious cake and revitalising caffeine!

Although there was load shedding in the moment we visited The Handmill, we got an extremely good French press coffee. The atmosphere was wonderful and we really enjoyed our morning break here! It was perfected by the heart warming service of the owner Cindy.

The most amazing coffee and freshly baked goods, which can be enjoyed on the go or sitting in their cozy and sunny shop . They also sell all kinds of local goodies at amazing prices. Definitely a place to pop in and say hello, when you're in Hermanus.
