Beautiful and big house that is very comfortable. Unfortunately the breakfast is a big disappointment. They have a filter coffee machine but no coffee for the machine. They don't even serve any bacon or any other selection of meat example sausages if you don't have bacon . Rather stay at a more affordable place and buy filter coffee with a proper breakfast for less than a R100 at a well-known franchise breakfast venue.

5 stars? I wouldn’t give it 2.I had the most unwelcome and unhappy stay I have ever had in a guesthouse anywhere in the world.
I arrived on Saturday to be welcomed by a sweet little cleaning lady.
I am an elderly lady on my own and discovered I was COMPLETELY ALONE in this strange big house in Johannesburg. The 2nd night I arrived to a dark house – I struggled to see the key hole at the front door.
To plug in the kettle or charge my phone I had to get on the floor to get to a plug behind the little fridge
The bedside light only worked on one side of the bed. The one I did not want to sleep on.
Hairdryer? Great – no plug and no mirror!
TV did not work.
The bath towel was a hand towel.
By the end of my short shower the soapy water was ankle deep.
Tons of furniture, carpets, paintings – not a single person. The owners and hosts who live in the house should not have taken in guests while they were overseas or their manager should have remained in the house over the weekend if there was a guest.

Selma is a wonderful general manager who will work with you to make the most accommodating visit. They helped me book tours and a personal driver that are reputable. Amanda, the house maid, made me breakfast an hour earlier twice due to my Safari tour and Cullinan Diamond Mine Tour pickups before 7 AM. Breakfast Hours are 7-9 AM. The owner Benny is very friendly and will treat you like a family member. As a single woman, I felt very safe to stay here.

I always have a wonderful and pleasant stay when ever im in Johannesburg the place is beautiful and always kept clean. I totally disagree with you Pamela. Im a regular guest and all the things you mention is not what I have experienced at all. It is a 5 star and i would give them more if i could.
Thank you to the Manager Selma who always smiles, she is so friendly and always goes out of her way for her guests and when requesting a meal she will prepare the best meals for you as requested at an extra cost which is not bad at all. I dont see why she should have to sleep at the guest house if there is always someone there. The bath towel is a bath towel that is given and not a hand towel as you mentioned.
The other friendly lady, Tolerance that stays on site is there and always assists you when needed even late at night or even a call to Selma the Manager she will assist at all times. Nothing is ever to much for them. Keep up the good work. Till i see you all soon again. Thank you for always making my stay so beautiful and welcoming. It is for sure my second home away from home.

A refuge away from, well, just about anything that bothers you.

Walking into the venue was an absolute relief. We knew instantly that we were going to be looked after to the best of standards.

Every staff member on duty went above the expected level of service to help deliver an experience that is unforgettable.

Thanks to this team it is unlikely that I will ever be able to look at any other Bu0026B the same way. The experience was so rewarding, in fact, that I am honestly considering hosting birthday celebrations here.

Thank you, Benny, for your kindness and hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet and get to know all of you.

Service with a smile, always. What better friendly and professional people can one ask for. It's like coming home to family after a tiring day. As long as their doors are open, I shall return. Best value for money.
