I visited for the CNY celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Managed to do a fair bit of shopping for grocery odds and ends that are hard to find in western shops. Having spent and worked some time abroad and mostly in the east, this area is authentic far eastern. It's hard to grasp still being in JHB with uniquely far eastern architecture, flavours, smells and sounds all around.

Great area where you could buy easily all kinds of asian food. Safe parking. Better go during the week as weekends are often busy

Surprised- for 20 Years in JHB did not know this existed. Although I pictures from Most China Towns I Visited in The USA

Although it is a grait place to shop for Asian items there is plenty of restaurants and so forth the streets is smelly and very dirty
