Elfreda is the greatest host. She always went all out to accommodate myself and my Hubby. The food was amazing with a variety of options to choose from. Also liked the fact that we had a heater in our room it was extremely freezing. The ladies in the kitchen always greeted us a smile, oh and the amazing Sibusiso????. The owners of this place really invested a lot in their staff. Totally recommend the place!

My stay here was fine. Breakfast is good and staff is great. The rooms need a bit of work in that ther USB ports didn't work and there are not enough power sockets. Extension leads are provided but its not great.

Wonderful!! Comfortable, quiet, safe, staff were amazing!! Elfreda let us check in early, she helped me call the Botswana embassy, Sibs drove me to the bank, the shop, and to lunch. They also provide airport transfer! Complimentary Nespresso machine in room, Brandy too. Hyde Park Guest House is the perfect place for a night or two in Johannesburg. Thank you for your great service!

It is double the price of other nicer spots around the area. The staff are miserable and unaccomadating. The bed was horrible.

Hyde park is an amazing guest house, super classic with a lot of fun,, i remember the minute I entered the room I found a picture on the wall written "if you are not breaking the rules you are not having" that quote got me laughing.
They provide the best service with a full English breakfast. I literally have no reason not to go back and you have no reason not to try it out

From the pool to the tasty breakfast, to the luxurious rooms, you are bound to have an amazing experience. ???? Alfreda, the host, as well as the staff, ensure that all your needs are met. I spent two nights there with the Face of Devotion Gauteng pageant candidates and I must say, we can't stop raving about it.. Truly an unforgettable experience.
