What a wonderful day I had here with my 3 children. The zoo seems to be extremely well managed and maintained. Their new Amazon animal exhibit is beautiful. The animals all seem to be well looked after and the animal enclosures seem to be very comfortable for the animals. We loved the variety of animals and fun animal interactions we had (particularly friendly monkeys!). The zoo also has numerous fun play areas and picnic spots. I would highly recommend it for a great family day.

Went last week and really enjoyed it and as a local can get to go anytime! A really lovely day out and not expensive. Collapsed in the restaurant and had a lovely lunch. We had one or two issues with the unsupervised school children and found one lot throwing small branches at a couple of the lion. When I challenged them I couldn't find any staff or teachers anywhere. It's great to see the children there but there must be proper supervision. One group were just running riot and screaming and again no-one around. They told me they were waiting for their teacher. Really not acceptable. Also need to sort out the cleaners as they walk around with their sticks and a bag picking up the obvious stuff but miss the rubbish in the beds and under the seating. Still it's easy to criticize and everything aside it really is a lovely day out and worth it.

I had a great experience here. The grounds are well maintained and the exhibits are updated and looked well cared for. The animals seem healthy and there was plenty to see! I spent 4 or 5 hours here.

Definitely one of the larger zoos I have been too, and easily compares to zoos in the US. The one thing I noticed is there were not many shops or guest services. I for one certainly appreciated that, I get tired of being constantly bombarded by shopping and eating when I go to a zoo to learn about animals. But, for families, it may be the one downside.

Large Zoo with all the animals you would wish to see. Great picnic spots, guided tours or walk it yourself. Information guides on all enclosures and even an open deck to view the Gorilla. Big trees for cover from the sun. Excellent family fun.

This zoo supports animal cruelty by taking free roaming animals, such as its elephants, to be kept in small enclosures. This zoo is not a nature reserve and instead exploits animals.
