Booked a reservation for my graduation, my family arrived nearly an hour early but were accommodated. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive and fast with service.

The cocktails and wine list were incredible all served in a timely manner, the cocktails also had virgin options so it helped include the underage members of my party.

All the food was a bit more on the spicy side. So order with Chilli if you are brave. I had the mushroom pasta with added chicken and it was so good, my partner had the steak and it was overcooked when he asked for rare. The vegetarian options were cooked to perfection and disappeared before I could take any photos. The prawn starters were absolutely incredible. However the churros were extremely disappointing as they were filled with oil and overcooked.

Another sad factor was that the hygiene unfortunately was a bit worrisome as a cockroach joined us for dinner through the couches we were sitting on. However the rest of the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and stocked.

It does lean to be more pricey but luckily they have their menu on their website so you can judge for yourself before you get there.

Overall a wonderful time was had by all.

Very nice experience. You'll need to pre-book otherwise you'll be sitted upstairs and the heat from the stoves will humble you.

Whole street has nice places to chill and have good vibe

La Parada, located in the still trendy suburb of Parkhurst offers much the same as La Boqueria (where I was slightly disappointed by the food) in that it is a tapas bar that also serves restaurant food. Being that their concepts are much the same, this obviously invited a comparison. Being a lunchtime party booking, the vibe was much more relaxed café than heaving bar at LB. Service was attentive and unobtrusive as it should be, with a bigger group of guests. Now on to the food. Kitchen service was brisk but not hurried, our appetising plates still hot to the touch once served. Meats were cooked at the correct temperatures, and sides bordered on the very generous. Pleasingly, the tacos we well portioned and properly seasoned. The menu was not entirely Hispanic/Latin which provided wider choices, done well.

Really great restaurant. Friendly staff. Great service and fantastic food. I would recommend and will be back to taste more.

The food was delicious. The waiter was very friendly. The atmosphere vibrant and enjoyed the music.

Excellent food. We had the Fried Calamari and Prawns Tapas and the Kingklip main.
Absolutely lovely!
Lwazi was an amazing server. Made us feel so comfortable. And the cappuccino was delicious-one of the best I have ever had.

Bongiwe was an amazing photographer!

Amazing service from Themba , lovely food lovely experience lovely waiter who made sure we were taken care of the whole night. He is a 10 out of guy , he is a great person, energetic and constantly wanting to please his customers. I came here with my family and they all loved him, this review is from all my family members. He is funny and had such an amazing personality , will definitely be coming back if he is around.
