Delicious plant based food options. Unfortunately the dish I was looking forward to having was sold out. I enjoyed the food nonetheless. The cappuccinos are divine ✨️ and the atmosphere is just so beautiful and cozy. Definitely would recommend

This food culture is growing. I am.not sure if it's me? I like the way things een traditionally found and ate. But being vegetarian, it's been a novelty!! One question though, why do we need to drink 48 rand ginger beer, while same thing you can possibly make fresh, (by grating ginger, mix soda from fountain + sugar or no sugar/sugar free). Idea of plant base stuff is being close to nature or substitute,?

I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The drinks (hot) are outstanding. I ordered a toasted sandwich (average until I added some caramelized onion) and my friend ordered a falafel salad bowl (she liked it, I didn’t).

I've been going to Lexi's for years now- pretty much since they opened.

I'm continuously impressed by the range of options, the quality of food and how great the staff are. I love that as a vegan I have a multitude of options to suit my mood (not just the standard 3) but I can take family members who don't share my lifestyle. They enjoy it just as much I do!

Decor and ambiance is great. So are the seasonal menus- you don't get bored if you're a regular.

I hosted a chilled 30th birthday lunch there and even though I miscounted the number of people coming, the staff were kind and professional, squeezing some extra chairs in. I feel at home here.

Oh and the carrot cake? Save space for the carrot cake!

Quite literally, the most delicious lattes I have ever had. The menu is diverse and it is all delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibey. Burgers on point! I have just been to Europe and didn't find anything there that came close to providing the plant based quality and diversity that Lexi's does. A real gem????

Excellent prep, taste and ambience. Finally a Beyond patty that hasn't been "cut" to make more.
However that's where the excellence stops.

You have major issues with your service. It's non existent. No milk or sugar offered for coffee. We had to get sugar ourselves. Nobody asked if we need anything during our meal, we needed another coffee.
The empty plates were not cleared off the table. We called for the bill and it arrived on an uncleared table.
Card machine wasn't working, not your fault but the next machine was taken to another table and we had to wait while staff talked and we had to remind them again.
When we left, no "thanks for coming", it's like your staff are doing me a favour.

I'm not taken in by fads and window dressing. At R400 for 2 burgers and coffee, I'd, at the least, expect a fake smile. Shambles..

The food was 5 star but today service was a 1. Waiting to be served whisky not crazy busy took much longer than is acceptable. The burger I ordered came by less despite specifically asking for gluten free and just seeing any waiter was like trying to find Wally. When there was a waiter it was a far cry from the spontaneous ans high energy team I remember. I’m a massive lexi fan so hope the next visit it more promising. (This is an updated review)
